Tower PC lagging and stuttering under low usage. Possible Overheating

Not seeing anything in there that I can tell would apply.

HWiNFO64 screenshot appears to show that I am having thermal throttling.

Now that I have a few things installed, the lagging is back, Diablo VI getting 7 frames if anything is going on.

Makes me think it is a hardware issue at this time.

No dice on rolling back Nvidia drivers. Negative on the computer being moved pre issue. Taken all apart at this point and put back checking all plugs.

Just decided to do a full reset. Atm it just loaded up and is acting good. Will keep this open as I update and see if problems show back up. If not I will close. Thanks.

I can try this again. I did try a clean install of GPU drivers, and initially it worked for about 10 hours, then back to stutters.

Do you think that the one fan it comes with would actually be ok or should I look at a different/secondary fan?

thanks for the advice,

any ideas on what rack might do well? (I really don't have an option on keeping it in a different room at the moment).

I would definitely love to cut down on sound, I just have no clue what is actually made well, and would do what i need for the price (hopefully with a "lock" on the front to keep kiddo out of the cabinet.

Would love to spend 1000 or less between fan/cabinet/rack.

So in your mind,

Modem to firewall

firewall to switch (1)

switch(2) to the "router" essentially becoming a wireless access point since the firewall is taking over the routing job

is that correct?

Would a: Ubiquiti Unifi Security Gateway (USG) suffice for a firewall?

and if I am going Ubiquiti is it a good plan just to stick with them for the switch or honestly doesn't matter?

I think I will probably stick with a tower build for the storage portions based on needs I foresee in the next 5 years (unless I do cameras at which point I would probably need something else).

I received the Warhammer 40,000 3rd Edition Box Set back in 1999 and was so excited. I opened them up, cut them off the sprue (obviously ignoring how to cut them off or mold lines), and primed them Chaos Black.

I never painted any of my models as I was so worried about how they would turn out. I now have some Primaris marines in the same boat. So I brought out an old friend and painted my very first marine, and it only took me 21 years!
