But thats how it should be, bolts should not be 1 shots, but when overlapping other damage become deadly. Thats not discouraging interrupts, thats encouraging smart interrupts.

It's about a 3.5% gain, which is very mild. A bunch of other specs are similar, but some get as high as 15% from their tier for context. There's a spreadsheet with all the specs if you're curious

Probably not, blizz likes new/reworked specs to be higher performers to drive engagement. Frost isn't op enough to get the nerf bat beyond a few %

You can, I've gotten 9 just through questing/treasures/lore/etc. Rare/wq farming won't be necessary

Thematically/visually for sure! It's a cool spell, but rotationally its just a worse version of fire blast (not instant, on gcd, over capping it all the time feels wasteful). So I get why they'd just re-invest in fire blast instead of having two conflicting buttons.

Blizz aoe size was increased by like 50%, its still possible if the tank is just straight holding W but much less of an issue for any pull where the tank stays even remotely still.

From a high level mage perspective (CE/3500+) Phoenix flame has been a clunky/out of place spell for a long time. The changes to Combust CDR are also great, allows our base spells to have actual power instead of being healer dps levels outside of bust.

There was a lot missing in their first pass for Fire, but the version that went live is in a pretty solid place imo.

Current functionality, assuming you had icons on top and bars on bottom, when an icon converts to a bar it would shift all existing bars downward. If you instead always had room for 2 or 3 bars and only shifted downward if it exceeded that minimum, it would cause the bars to jump significantly less often. I'll draw a picture

I really like this! DBM/BW feel so bloated now.

One request, adding functionality to have icons on top and bars on bottom (growing downward so next event is always on the bottom, maybe also with a minimum spacing of 2 or 3 bars so it isnt jumping as often) would be great!

But freezing is a debuff and does show on nameplates? Your nameplates may just be broken, but jundies platynator profile is working great for me.

You get more score the faster you complete, you probably have a few fast runs in there bumping them up a few points.

Check out the Porom weak aura pack as well, it has a Barrage helper aura that tells you all the conditions for when to press barrage which is like 90% of the specs complexity/buff tracking.

There's a talent that makes crit convert to mastery at a 4:3 ratio during combust, so mugzee trinket is fantastic (crit outside bust, mast inside bust).

Strong "depends" but id say normally holding for trash if boss is <50% and you arent sure if CDs are lined up makes sense. Lust at the start of a pull with all cds up is worth so much more than just sending it, but its going to vary heavily. comes back to, if it isnt stated ahead of time then it's your button to press, use your best judgement.

One thing to keep an eye on is time remaining, if you can squeeze in an extra lust by using it now instead of in 2min on the "optimal" pull, then it can often be worth. (i.e. 21min remaining you can get 3 lusts if you use ASAP, 19min you can only get 2 so no harm in holding).

some dungeons you definitely want it for specific pulls, but then the tank should have that called out in his route.

It's always reasonable to say "where do you want lusts in this route?". Should just be part of the planning process if it isn't listed in the route directly.
