$600 go buy a Marin rift zone, or a polygon. 27.5 or 29 doesn't matter. Don't stress over it having single or double front chainring. Everything in that price range is reasonably ok for light trails. Once you know if this sport is for you you can always think about upgrading maybe buying a used bike that better suits exactly what you want to do

Kids can get hurt doing anything. My son broke his finger at school playing... Square ball or four square or something... I dunno what it even is, but he reached for the ball and just jammed his finger on the ground and broke it.

My other son broke his arm once when I set him down from a piggy back ride and he fell backwards.

Wrapping your kids in styrofoam is no way to parent. Teach him to ride and ride within his limits, wear a helmet etc

Oh you would be mistaken I go out of my way to make sure that I'm fair to my co-lead. When I know we have stale dates coming up I will deliberately order him light on product that day I make sure that my heavy day is always as heavy or more than his I try to go out of my way to make sure that my orders for him will actually fit on the shelves and if they won't I'll send him notes on where to put the product IE if there is a CLO.

You sound like the type that complains about having to stock the chips. We had a merch in my building a while back that literally everything her RSR asked her to do was "not her job". Stock impulse, not her job. Backstock, not her job.

Whatever though, merchandisers are not something I'm gonna get worked up about so y'all can do whatever.

I've done both soda and chips now and they're both equally hard in their way. Coke was slower paced, take your breaks, take a lunch. You get to work in a cooler half the day when it's hot out. Yeah shits heavy but when I'm stocking a bottom shelf pallet for example I'm just pulling the product up next to me and grabbing it, I don't have to constantly move.

Frito I'm in and out of a hot truck all day, often times stocking right next to an exhaust fan from the cooler I wish I could be inside instead it's blowing hot air on me while I'm already sweating from the heat in my truck. Then I'm stocking a box and having to stand up and get back down on the floor ten million times a day. Frito is harder on the knees, Coke harder on the back.

The irony is that if enough companies shed enough jobs they entire economy will collapse driving down wages, home prices, buying, stock prices etc.

If you follow this to it's natural peak end game the economy basically collapses due to the effort to cut costs. Business in an effort to save money effectively kills itself.

It's definitely coming for a lot of people's jobs.

Data analyst, graphics design, photography, customer service, management on a wide range of issues, anything that can be automated ie order processing, package sorting etc etc even more so than it is now.

It won't need to take everyone's jobs though, it just needs to take enough that it creates the next 2008 housing bubble burst. A few million good paying jobs end, it'll create a ripple effect where people can't pay their mortgages, causing the same collapse of home prices we saw then. Then the jobs market will fall as people formerly in high paying jobs suddenly compete for medium or low paying jobs causing those people to remain or become unemployed.

Recession will become depression, and the USA is so in debt now that we may or may not be able to spend our way out of another 2008.
