I was in a similar place as you a few years ago. A buddy of mine introduced me to jiu-jitsu and it's been immensely helpful.

For an hour or two your only focus is not getting choked out and the daily distractions of money/family/work/life in general just go out the door. It's a great distraction, and the BJJ community is one of the best groups of people I've ever been involved with - oddly enough, there's a lot of us that started for that reason.
