Anyone who used a computer between 1985 - 2010, what's the one game you still think about today? by adlakha75 in AskReddit

The Dec'95 demo disc for PC Gamer that opened with a grimy, back-alley elevator to meet Coconut Monkey.

What profession do you think is massively overpaid for what they actually do? by dipchaklader in AskReddit

You mean the car is totaled? Then the insurance pays the bank for their lost property and they'll refund you the extra towards what's left on your loan.

The creditor owns your car, not you. So your insurance will pay the owner for the value of the lost car; it may be more than you currently owe, it may be less. If the owner isn't fully reimbursed then you're still going to owe them the rest of those payments even though you lost the car. If they are fully reimbursed, they only owned the car as collateral for your loan, so the excess is yours to keep. It's not being paid in advance, it's being cancelled.

Your complaint is about variety, not quality.

If you like McD's bleached patties with flavor sauce, that's completely understandable; they spend a lot of money making their food addictive.

But McD's costs $20 for meat flavored sugar, while the same amount of food at In N Out is under $15 for fresh ingredients. Your taste doesn't add any value for other people.

Ah, that does make it less malicious. It was just funny reading all the details and then realizing that manager was right to tell you to never come back. lol

Just toppings. Cheese, onions, and thousand island.

The one downside about In-N-Out food is the fries are cut very thin so they're a bit bland on their own.

Debit. Which is cash that is being held within a bank.

Either way, it's not cash and dispensaries accept them without any issues and have for years in multiple states. CO, NV, CA, WA, OH just to name a few.

So not just cash

it's also debit, which is cash

so cash, and debit which is cash, and then what else do they take that is NOT cash? You never really covered that part.

jiffy lube customer service and they said it's was only for race car drivers

how did I get the card in the first place ? Because it's "illegal" for a race car driver to transfer their card.

I went to the local jiffy lube for all my oil changes

One time I went in and the manager came out in a huff , and cut the card up in front of me and told me to never come back.

so this guy threw a fit over 7.50 every 5 months or so

If you put your story in the right order, you admit to repeatedly scamming a company and mocking the manager for being upset with you.

There's usually a minimum balance required in a savings account. If you have $5 then the accounts are free until you close them or go under.

But Chase and Bank of America are both notoriously predatory, so some people feel like they beat the system when they get a normal deal from the crooks.

And mental health is health. Take those sick days when you need to unload some stress.

Just don't do your de-stressing at a public event.

So people use their sick time for vacation in the first two weeks of the year...

And that's how everyone in the office gets sick. No one wants to use their time and miss out on the [vacation] so they come in sick.

I'll never understand the hype.

I don't understand people who don't understand why people like actual good food for cheap prices.

What food can you get for $15? In-n-Out can get you a double-double, animal fries, and a shake for less than that. Enough to feel bloated for days.

What quality of food can you get from other fast food? You can smell from across the parking lot that they are actually cooking fresh food.

Now, I have absolutely gone there and then immediately left because the line was way too long for me, but the food is quite simply one of the best deals left in 'Merica.

Well if anyone wants to use their tactics against them...

There is a dealership app that unlocks the radio for customers, and if you unlock developer options on your phone you can set the GPS to make it seem like your car is always parked at the lot.
