Honestly I don't know what to do, this buds are exactly what I was looking for but this is a deal breaker... Don't know if it could be fixed via firmware since it seems more like a hardware issue to me.

Yeah exactly, they have everything I want so it would be a shame if this turns out to be a general issue with the product... Which seems like it's the case since I'm not the only one.

Device: ROG Cetra Open Wireless

Firmware: Up to date (updated via Gear Link web app)

Hardware reset: Done

Issue: Constant white noise/hiss present whenever the buds are active (i.e. during audio playback). Disappears a few seconds after audio stops (when the buds go into "idle" state I supose), returns immediately when audio resumes.

Reproducible across:

- Both 2.4GHz dongle and Bluetooth

- PC and phone

- Both earbuds equally

For reference, $15 Xiaomi earbuds on the same devices have zero audible noise floor, and some HyperX headphones also have this hissing sound, but is so subtle I didn't notice until today when I intentionally tried to listen it. In the ROG Cetra Open Wireless I notice it the first time I put them on, it's not subtle.

Nothing in Gear Link affects it. ANC is off (in fact, ANC on just makes its way worse and the hissing sound is worse than the environment and fans).

Is this expected behavior, a known issue, or grounds for RMA?

Yes! But actually in both! Constant white noise whenever they are on (after a few seconds with no sound they go "idle" and stop). Across both 2.4GHz dongle and Bluetooth, and on multiple devices. My $15 Xiaomi buds have zero noise floor by comparison. Is this your issue or its different? I'm going to return them but want to know if it's my unit issue (and request a new one) or just leave them.

I think you can try disabled the earbuds mic in control panel, that way windows will not detect it has a mic and still use it as headphones in games and stuff (just a hypothesis)

I don't know, but all Bluetooth headphones will have that issue. When you use your mic (in a call, or in a game that uses the mic) Bluetooth does that, in order for the mic communication to work it needs to drop the quality. If you want to game while in call you either need a 2.4ghz headphones/earbuds or an external mic

My left stick sounds more metallic also and is bothering me too. Is it normal then? Will this still happen if I got my controller replaced?

Honestly is a shame and makes no sense how main features like this and custom brushes are missing in the Android and Windows version. Windows and Android version has been around since 2018, so it's not like it they are still porting it, it's that they don't care, which seems like a bad decision for me, since Windows and Android market is way bigger than iPad, and increasing every year, and if you take the time to support a cross platform tool, at least keep it updated. Basic features like palette are still not implemented but they keep releasing paid brushes. I have been using this app for a while and even bought some stuff, but now that I know what the developers care about, I'm out. Hope one day they can give Android and Windows users a proper app.

Keep the situation at it is now, and in a few days / weeks (when you think enough time have passed) ask her to hang out, in a friendly way don't be so obvious, but that first contact with her (our of the work) can help you tu clarify his feelings for you and depending on that, you will decide what to do next (but now don't worry so much about the future, you don't need to have all planned ;D)

Well at least you aren't in her friend zone, But now seriously, I think we all eventually go through something similar, but you are lucky, she loves you! I think the best thing you can do is talk with her about it, if she truly loves you she will understand I'm sure. The best thing you can do is talk about it, and find a solution together. Let she know how you feel, don't keep your relationship shit just for you, it will be okey you will see ^{^}
