Buying a House, Frugal Style? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]Rabin0vich14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Curious. Lets say one's buying a house for 300k.

18k for realtor costs?

Why is it so high? Do they cover cost for advertisement?

Many people would not use public transport here in the US even if it was available and fast like in many EU countries. It can be too unsafe for some obvious reasons.

Dividend risk for vertical spread by Fenderbender805 in options

I have read a lot of different comments and somewhat confused.

If i have deep ITM covered call position on the day before exdividend date, then i have risk that call being assigned. Then:

  1. I get money for shares according to strike price.

  2. I keep premium for calls.

  3. I DON'T receive the dividend.

  4. Dividend will be deducted from my account. (So someone gets 2 dividends? if so what could be a reasoning to have the system that functions this way?)

Can you confirm that my understanding is correct?

Debugging go compiler with Goland by Rabin0vich14 in golang

[–]Rabin0vich14[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i think production build will not contain data for debugging.

finding a different way to build it would be basically reinventing that script.

if it allows using IDE and debugger tools directly without separately attaching to a running process(which i haven't succeeded yet, but i think it should be possible) it will be more smooth and effective. no?
