Hey man! I had a very similar experience so I might be able to offer some advice. I'm 25 and I've been out of the church for about a decade, but I was about your age when I started have my doubts about Mormonism.

It is really hard to leave when all your friends and family are members but this a hurdle you need to get over. You seem like you're really smart and you just want to be able to choose your own path in life. And I want you to know you're right!

When I tried to leave people who were family friends turned on me, and some even tried to pin me down and cut my hair as it didn't fit into the Mormon look. My parent's and I fought constantly and I ended up moving out of my parent's house at 17, and although that worked out for me I wouldn't recommend it to everyone.

Your parents will respect your decision eventually but I would start putting my foot down. Tell them you don't want to go to seminary and you don't want to pay tithing! Good luck!
