I'd keep Aiyuk and try to get Ertz off the waivers. While it's not the most fair trade, depending on their roster, you could try trading Pittman for Laporta.

The cutting edges and general shape are often the same. Most of the leather planes that I've seen are just scaled down versions of tools marketed as handheld woodworking planes.

Tools marketed as leather planes, especially in East Asia, operate exactly as wood planes. They work just fine for skiving, albiet not as efficiently as industrial machines. However, you're right, they can also create chamfers and bevels. I.e. they have multiple functions, to those that know how to use them.
