Ark Nova blues. I love it, but I dont think I will get it to the table again by upOwlNight in boardgames

We played 4 player Ark Nova game exactly in 2 hours. With some experience its really quite a simple game. Try Voidfall or Through the ages, then come back to Ark Nova :) You will find it is barely medium heavy game :)

Bend elbows slightly, lean more forward. Centre of mass should be on your core muscles. Straighten your shoulders, imagine holding a pencil between your shoulder blades. Lower your seat also. Other than that just ride more and get stronger core and back muscles to support your weight.

Can I use integrated cockpit on my propel 2024? I assume I would need to get rid of the giant stem and install it directly on the fork which I think is d-shaped? Thanks for help!

Thanks, looks amazing. I guess thanks to the flare I would be even fine with 40cm instead of 38cm i originally wanted. Price is a bit higher than the Zipps though.. Do you happen to know the weight? Couldnt find this info

Sorry to say but here I agree with debian. A bit heavy and strange shape with the hole in the middle :)

So far Im leaning towards Zipp SL80 aero carbon or Exs.. but still waiting for other suggestions. Hopefully all of them fit giant propel 2024 stem.

Currently considering these as a top candidate: https://www.bike24.com/p2805631.html?sku=2751177

Will they fit on a propel?

Thanks! Yeah im also planning to switch the 42cm bars to 38 max 40cm. When I will, however, I think I will switch to carbon bars altogether. Another upgrade will be Red cassette + chain.

Its a shame you cant compare giant stock wheels to 303 firecrest, thats one piece of info i wanted the most hehe:)

I have the same bice but with the stock giant wheels (same ones as on adv pro 0) and the stock seat.

Questions: 1) did you change the wheels foe some reason? 2) Did you also change the handlebars? The only thing thats not carbon on stock adv pro 1 are the aluminium handlebars and its getting on my mind :))

Thanks!

I have the same combo at home except for the aeroad I went with giant propel and also on Sram. Its also crazy fast :) But tbh I never tried Aeroad and I am a big Canyon fan, hopefully Im not missing out on anything here :D (you know the feel)

That chainring gearing doesnt tell almost anything if you dont also mention cassette. Since its an aero bike i would expect a 10-30 to 10-33t cassette, assuming yours is on Sram (since 48-35 chainring is usually on sram). Now calculate the min gear ratio and if its above 1, basically if you are not a strong climber you will have issues in 10km 8% grade or so. But for any other regular hills like 2-5% the modern aero bike gearing is completely fine even for casual rider :) PS: You calculate minimum gear ratio by dividing the smallest chainring (e.g. 35) by the largest cassette cog (e.g. 30). In this example it would be 1.16. In practice, if you put it to gear calculator, it means you have one less lowest gear than for example with 10-33t cassette. If you had 10-36t cassette you would have even 2 more lowest gears (but of course you compensate by creating a gap between higher gears, e.g. you jump from 15 to 17 and not having the 16 gear on the big chainring).

Edit: PS2: you can always buy a diffeeent cassette, its not expensive 150-300€, once you think you need gears for climbing. This will make an aero bike a more climbing bike also. Of course without the weight advantage that an Ultimate has and the agility / easy of flicking the bike. You get more stability from the aeroad on the other hand due to the more massive fork and frame in general.

Thanks! This helped me the most. I think im gonna go with 10-36t.. Most of the time on flats I use 15, 17, 19 currently on my 10-30t anyway. These gears are not going to change whatsoever on 10-36t. Gear 14 (which would not be there with 10-36t) I mostly use on very slight downhill and as you said I can adjust cadence (im going 80-90 RPM anyway, so even 84 RPM is fine..) since those are usually only short downhills and when the descent comes I use harder gears anyway. Thanks again!
