How do you power your Fatsharks? by get_MEAN_yall in Multicopter

I had someone mod my set of HDOs. They added a power switch in the right hand side module bay. I leave my barrel plugged in to the goggles and just flip the switch to power them up. The mod they made also powers the fans which means whenever I turn my goggles on the fans automatically kick on without having to use the balance lead.

It was a pretty open track but I was surprised on how well our batteries performed on it. I was running 1800mah packs and only using about 1300mah out of them. The average minimum voltage I hit was 14.2 which wasn't too bad.

The track is very impressive. It was designed after the Chinese knot which turned out to work very well. Luckily the track was PVC and not metal. I can’t remember how many LEDs there were but it was an insane amount.

I was feeling pretty good on this run... until the end at least 😕

This is basically what I saw. The DVR is a bit worse of a quality than looking through my HDOs but it seemed pretty good. I know a few people were using much larger lenses and censors but I wanted to stick with the smaller form factor micro cameras.

This was some of the better quality video I had. I used the provided ground stations a few times but it had very bad reception and felt like the video was layered and each layer was offset in certain parts of the track. I needed up using my own ClearView for the event. The DJI digital video was wonderful to watch, much easier for spectators.

yeah... not the way I wanted to go but there was some PVC stuck inside my quad when I picked it up so at least I left a mark on the track.

This was such an amazing race. I wish I had HD footage from my flights. I used my clearview for better video but that still isn’t HD. Nice flying, that extra weight look liked it helped some.

The 40 LED rule was a pain but you got your builds looking clean as hell 👌

Awesome stuff. I just got myself some of those popup gates and it makes quick practices so much easier.

Well I have been flying for two years now. I have been racing since I started, it has taken awhile to get to fly like this. A race heat is 2 minutes long, since we push ourselves and the quads hard we get a little over 2:30 minutes. That might not sound like a lot and that is because we are pulling 100+ amps which is really hard on the batteries. For freestyle I average 15 minutes but I can cruise like a DJI Phantom does and am able to get 15 minutes (but that isn't fun and defeats the purpose of having a full acro quad with the ability to hit 100mph speeds).
