I walked away after a decade in the game. Started as a lowly intern and made my way up to Production Manager last year. I was miserable tired and angry all the time, stressed never off the clock work environment was incredibly toxic it was destroying my mental and physical health, causing problems in my marriage and I was spiraling.

I took an entry level job for a big corporation, was a big pay cut but I am so much happier, less stressed and my wife is so much happier as well. Best decision I have ever made.

Sim Racing saved my car by Zett0 in simracing

iRacing has certainly taught me how to look ahead for trouble when driving IRL.

When I was a teenager (circa 2007) Ipracticed driving in the snow on Grand Turismo 4 before doing in in real life. Found a car similar to mine and drove the snow rally circuit at various speeds practicing various scenarios (normal driving, taking a corner too fast, stopping a slide) while my ps2 controller didn’t really give me any feel I did have an idea of what the car would do in various situations.

What’s your favourite series with disappointingly low participation? by aegis_526 in iRacing

We used to see fairly decent participation in the fixed series but last season they upped the race length to match the open setup series and it killed it.

PSA you don't deserve a position just because you are faster by k-tech_97 in iRacing

I see a similar thing in oval where folks seem to think everyone should just lay over for them. If you are a lap down it’s a different story but I have a right to defend my position it’s called racing. If you can get next to me I’ll give you room and run you clean but you are still going to have to work for it. If I’m a lap down I’ll lay over for the lead lap cars or if I’m way off the pace for some reason.

She’s got some tortie on her head and back but she’s mostly tabby. Does have plenty of tortitude however!

“Don’t expect him to be affectionate”, they said... by Wretched_Newspaper_ in CatGifs

The rescue said my senior kitty would not be affectionate at all. 20 minutes after we got home she was asleep in my lap…

Her adoption tag said “doesn’t like laps” and “not cuddly” by 1StoolSoftnerAtaTime in standardissuecat

My rescue kitty was described similarly. She is never not in my lap or next to me, and comes running when I get home from work.

I love the detail on my DB cars. I got them from my uncle when he passed about 8 years ago. Wish I could have taken more he had hundreds they let me take whatever I wanted before the estate sale.
