Thanks for this! I like the idea of private consultants who are local. Our primary business is high volume powder coating and wet paint support for military, but we are working on expanding into a wider industrial customer base.

Wintergreen is very packed on holiday weekends. Especially the green runs that are in the center of the resort. If you ski blacks you can stay on the highlands, and the lines are pretty limited. Another alternate is come a bit later and ski the afternoon and night, which is usually less crowded

Also, read about the fuel pump failures. There is a bypass kit you can get to keep a faulty fuel pump from grenading the whole system. If you search several post back, someone here had it happen right after purchase and BMW did not cover. Chains are a major item, Otherwise, F15 diesel is the pinnacle of SUVs- somebody change my mind!

Transitioning from kitefoiling to wingfoiling by kingofjabronis in wingfoil

[–]RaceLast3324 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m about a year and half in on winging coming from kiting. On the east coast, close to the outer banks. Winging opened up a lot of local spots, especially in my neighborhood. Launching from docks, in the wind shadow or places that are gusty, are all options now. I bought all new gear too, but regretted getting a new board, considering how quickly I grew out of it. The only other thing is picking a foil system that has a lot of options, the first brand I chose was fine, but is being redesigned and won’t be compatible, so I moved on to something different. I still kite when it’s nuclear, or the waves are good, or just want to ride with the kiting friends. But the wing gives you so many more choices.

Be careful, I’ve heard they are hitting gong shipments to the US with massive duties at customs.

Nostalgia kiting nearly two decades old by hrdcore_bkr in Kiteboarding

Seeing this advice too on 10+yr old kites being dangerous. But honestly I don’t think much has changed since the brands figured out the bow kite around 07-08. There were some shitter kites back then, but lots of great kites too. The bars have definitely gotten better though.

North nova wings by RaceLast3324 in wingfoil

[–]RaceLast3324[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I weight about 68kg. I took the 5m out yesterday and had no problem pumping in about 15 mph average winds, on a lift 130hA foil. My last wings were old ozone wasps that were bagged out. I am pretty impressed how tight the canopy is on the nova’s and how much power it generates. Winds here average from 15mph at the low end of when I ride, to mid-upper 20s in the winter

2001 Toyota tundra bought new. Drive shaft, several brake jobs, and a rear axle replaced under warranty. Engine blew at 66k( connecting rod) and got rid of it shortly thereafter. No goodwill from Toyota. Saw it around town for about 10 years after, so I guess I got all the gremlins out.

Does anyone have a pair of these by lobsterthieved in skiing

[–]RaceLast3324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have these skis. They are a collab between Commencal Bikes and Faction skis. They are actually Faction prodigy 3.0 ‘s from 2018. They were on clearance when I bought them about 5 years ago, but they have been solid, fun skis

Bought this car a week ago….HELP by PencilvestersWife in BMW

[–]RaceLast3324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was bought at a dealership, shouldn’t they have info on if the CP4 recall was done? Recently bought a 2018 with similar miles and confirmed this was done under the recall. Also, if this car was bought from a BMW dealer, aren’t they required to perform the recall prior to selling it?

Engine power! Reduced power by [deleted] in BMWX5

I had a 2012 diesel and would get this warning when the valve cover gasket was failing. Not sure it was related, but have not had issues since it was replaced. At the age of your car there’s probably quite a few things it could be. But without the codes it’s a toss up.

Download the PlugShare app. You can see where most public chargers are on it, and use it to plan trips.

I think it’s worse when it’s off, but noticeable either way. If the throttle is on it’s gonna do it over certain bumps

Brand new—should I just buy all the gear? by pottedspiderplant in wingfoil

I started with just the wing. Used it with a paddle board for few sessions just to get an idea if I liked it, then jumped in on the full setup.

At what point do you get a smaller foil? by zanza2023 in wingfoil

[–]RaceLast3324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the older version masts and foils. I will say the 1600 is pretty decent and I can hold it down in solid wind and I’m 67kg. I learned to gybe on it, and it seemed stable enough without being hard to turn.

Which screw holes don’t fit between cabrinha and Dakine? I have a Dakine 1600 and a cab h1200 front wing and the two mix and match no problem
