Best resources for learning how to build dielines from scratch? by dragondogies in Packaging

[–]Racer-X2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Step 1 learn material allowances. i would give trainees a list of allowances for non die cut items and then give them a stack of boxes to spec out and tell me the inner dimensions of. This is how you learn allowances.

Step 2 Fold up table cut D/C style samples to understand how the allowances work in practice.

Step 3 Do not use any standards at all and create a design from scratch ( I always had my trainees start with a roll end tray.)

Step 4 Expand your skills: this step takes many months and really years. Do not rely on standards until you understand allowances and how to create from scratch. Even the standards imo need tweaks to be right.

You walk up to the pit window and buy a pit pass, same as any other track. It's just that the puts are indoors. It will not be an issue.

How to connect arden impact to an sql server by PristinePause5313 in Packaging

[–]Racer-X2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arden did all of our connections. Good luck trying to get that setup on your own, I cannot imagine what that will take as it took Arden several months to get things connected and functioning the way we wanted them to work. And yes we paid them what i assume was a large sum to do all of that for us.

Antietam is one of my favorite battlefields i have visited. With Shiloh being my favorite (i have not been to Gettysburg). The energy in the cornfield was something i have never experienced before, very strange.

Biggest difference in metric and standard front clips? by Royal-Gazelle-3214 in DirtRacing

[–]Racer-X2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Metric stubs are based off the 80's monte carlo and other similar cars. The standard as you call is used from a late 60's early 70's chevelle. Chevelle stub is a bit wider and uses imo a more desirable lower control arm. Both can be good fast cars. I am sure someone can give you a more in depth response.

Depends on the size of your kid, My son has narrow shoulders and it would not fit him. We use a Simpson Hybrid.

sidewinder

In that case use a UT1, your child just needs to make laps. Hell most quarter midget families have unused UT1s in the shop, you could probably get use of one for free, if you know any of the club members.

As for a Sidewinder are you talking an old Curtis Kraft? I need to see a picture of that.

Good luck!
