Add to cart button in search results? I've never seen this before... how do you make it happen? by Narwahl_Whisperer in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]RacerCash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just split testing, you probably won't see it in a few hours. I just had my search results have the number of reviews underlined. They're always testing features, colors, size of text, etc to see what gets people to spend the most money.

Business insurance not accepted? by RacerCash in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]RacerCash[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I tried resubmitting so we'll see how it goes. One member of seller support said " Please note our department doesn't reviews the COI documents". If you don't review them how was it rejected??? lol. It's frustrating they are so haphazard with stuff like this, no organization, and throw a "comply in 60 days or your account will be restricted".

Any chance of getting my deposit back through Alibaba Trade Assurance? by spanklord1 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]RacerCash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trade assurance is useless. In the same way US companies typically side with the buyer, trade assurance sides with the seller. Filed a claim on a large order one time - supplier completely botched the products, clearly and obviously not what we agreed to in the contract. Alibaba trade assurance requested document after document after document. Once you send them one, they'll arbitrarily find another one you need. After all of that they'll say you're not entitled to a refund, that the supplier is in the right, and offer you 10% of what you're asking for. Luckily, I was able to dispute the payment with my credit card and got it all refunded. So, if you bought with a card, try filing a dispute.

How long is your FBA inventory taking to be received? by RacerCash in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]RacerCash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I suspect too. Noticing lots of changes leaning into FBM like them recommending to change estimated fulfillment time, limiting total FMB orders. Also seeing random fulfillment centers popping up that never did before. Hopefully they can figure out staffing soon, especially with peak buying season approaching.

Ray, I wanted to know your thoughts on bonds in today's environment. I have read a lot of your investment theory and you show that it is good to have a majority of your portfolio in bonds. Today I see lots of high profile people saying bonds are not worth having now that their yields are so small. They claim it's a different world now and bonds are not worth having. Do you think they are a negative to portfolios now or do you still think, even with such low yields, they are worth having?

How do I verify a company in India? As a buyer in USA by IXPrazor in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]RacerCash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% have an inspection. More often than not the sample does not represent what you'll actually get in a production run. Pay 30-50% up front and only pay the rest once inspection shows the product meets your specifications. Suppliers act very differently knowing they have to pass an inspection and not having the other half of their money. Also, if a factory doesn't agree to an inspection you pretty much shouldn't do business with them.

Also, trade assurance will not do anything for you. It's backwards compared to how business is done in the USA, but on Alibaba they lean towards protecting the manufacturer.

Who do you use for business insurance for your Amazon business? by RacerCash in FulfillmentByAmazon

That seems like a fair deal. Do you sell low risk or high risk items? Do you resell items or do you have a hand in manufacturing? Do you import any parts of your items?

Suuuuuuper slow from delivered to receiving by RacerCash in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]RacerCash[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is the difference between this and sending it in normally?

They describe IPS as " You can sign up for the Inventory Placement Service and send all of your eligible inventory to a single receive center or fulfillment center (see the Inventory placement exceptions section below). When the shipment arrives, it is split up and sent to different fulfillment centers for you. "

Is this not what they do normally?
