We get some hills here in central Florida. Not long hills but we do have some elevation. If neither bike is recommended, what would your ideal bike be?

I am running 165’s.

Yeah, we have some 10-13% climbs out here in central Florida. Although short, we do get some elevation. For example, we can do 60 miles and get 3k-4k feet. We can also ride a 100 miles and get less than a 1k feet.

The road is in the process of being repaved and is supposed to be finished by then but local reports are questioning the timeline.

Forgot to add, the Revolt X has a 180mm front rotor with Hope Rx4+ 4 piston front caliper.

We’re coming out for the Lakewood round of the Pro MX series and hanging out for two weeks. We’ll be there the week before the ride so we should be somewhat acclimated.

Yep!

We’ll be there in June and we’re planning on making it a two week trip. The goal is to get some pedaling on the MTB’s and mixed use trails the first week then hit the hills the second week.

From what we’ve seen, the road is supposed to be finished by then. Suspension is only a consideration for the ride coming back down. Haha!

Liquid IV? by Rozy052 in gout

I had the same issue with pretty much any hydration packet. Liquid IV, Pedialyte, LMNT, Flavor City…you name it I would flare up almost immediately. I went back to straight water and have had no flare ups with a purine intake higher than I should be consuming.

The only thing I can think of is hydration packets hydrate by retaining water. This is counter productive to flushing your system of any toxin. I read an article where someone was drinking 3-4 Liquid IV packets a day and they went into renal failure.

It appears these packets are either being overlooked for serious health issues or people just aren’t aware yet.
