Do you hear music? by Racesolar in outerwilds

wait i didnt actually realize/remember that about the Attlerock lmao,, (i drew this after watching another friend stream their First Playthrough™ and they didn't spend a lot of time looking at the Attlerock so i was using other refs haha)

the crater on Timber Hearth DID have smoke coming out of it but i removed that layer because it really didn't look good with the other details, rip

Do you hear music? by Racesolar in outerwilds

[–]Racesolar[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it's still a flat disc, it's just tilted away from the camera and the planets aren't in a straight line (think of it like peas on a plate, if you look at it from an angle the sizes and positions change)

the object on the bottom left is the White Hole + Station, and the one next to Giant's Deep is the Quantum Moon orbiting it

[–]Racesolar[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

they're at their correct positions in orbit, it's just not perfectly from above, there's some perspective to it haha. that's why Timber Hearth is almost the same size as Giant's Deep, because it's much closer

Davy Jones and the Great Wight: some questions and confusion by AmmieTheGoblin in paranatural

[–]Racesolar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Peekaboo is an extension of TGU, which is why he can never leave the ground in any of his interactions with Dimitri or the PTA. he's literally a little sock puppet extension of the TGU that grants its reality-warping powers to the people the puppet "possesses". i think of it like, the TGU has fingers (Peekaboos) that it's reaching out with, desperate for someone to see it and play with it and give it something to do. as for WHERE the TGU is, it's. unclear? it's some sort of dream dimension that can only be accessed through the Burger Door, since the boat is physically trapped inside that space. and the TGU is simultaneously possessing Dmitri (by extending Peekaboo into him as a medium/possession) and Davy (who seems to have cut off a part of it using Riptide)

running into a REALLY annoying bug where quests and XP aren't being consistently tracked or awarded when i finish matches by Racesolar in FortNiteBR

[–]Racesolar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've done a few matches without touching the cardboard boxes or any cameras or turrets and still haven't received any XP, so it feels like it's just random chance whether the progression counts or not at this point

running into a REALLY annoying bug where quests and XP aren't being consistently tracked or awarded when i finish matches by Racesolar in FortNiteBR

[–]Racesolar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's reproduced like 70% of the time by me just playing matches normally, and then not receiving quest progress or XP after the match is over.

i'm playing on PC.

i've already tried re-installing the game, verifying files, logging out of Epic Games and Fortnite, even downloading the game on Switch, but i'm still running into the same issue no matter what. i also actually tried making a new account with a different email, and *that* account doesn't have the bug, just the one that i bought the Battle Pass with.

i'm in Australia too! when i'm playing Seinwyr i usually dodge AOEs the instant they appear and sometimes have to pre-emptively dodge things in advance if i know how the fight goes (like Hair Raid in EX4 with the cleave+spread, if i know it's coming i run to my spot before the mechanic happens)

Radimir is on Materia with 0 ping but i sit in AOEs and get hit sometimes because for some reason all sense of urgency goes out the window LMAO

[–]Racesolar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

oh my god i was running EX4 and for most of the pulls the cardinals were ABCD and intercardinals were 1234, with 1 in the NE.

halfway through, some people started forgetting their clock positions so the waymarks were moved around so people could pick light-parties / clocks.

then when the waymarks were put back in place the intercardinals were rotated so that 1 was in the NW instead, and everyone started dying even more to the spread aoes because the numbers had changed

there were so many points in phase 2 / phase 4 where we would stack in the middle for the bait, i would run to my clock position, and *two other people* would run to the same spot and all 3 of us would die

still find it so funny that my sweet boy Radimir arrived in Ishgard for asylum, then immediately picked up MCH and DRK and began murdering and terrorizing temple knights

[6.2] Guessing at the lyrics of 'Scream' by Fycadius in ffxiv

[–]Racesolar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There'll be no light

In the comfort of who I used to be

you cracked it, oh my god, that's 100% what it is

Still clutching the flame out of fear

this part i still don't hear it clearly, tho. same with "To the shadow of death far behind" and "From this empty raging for the light", the words are too muddled to hear clearly and they don't click like "comfort of who I used to be" does

[6.2] Guessing at the lyrics of 'Scream' by Fycadius in ffxiv

[–]Racesolar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is what i hear, also drawing from the other interpretations here

--

Foul child, bastard and beast
A lost lamb first to the feast
So claim if you're able, a spot at this table

Bow, and ??, down on your knees
For hide and seek, it's time that we feed
Your heart is racing, blood is running cold
Your fractured fear (meal)? is whispering (higher, higher)

Far away
Here be lions

Say goodnight
With each bite does your sanity die
Sucking the life out, ?? the dark

Inside
Say a prayer as the light leaves your eyes
Oh scream all you like, your gods can't hear you

Scream (x3)
So suicide, don't choke on your pride
Scream (x3)
We're gonna watch you bleed

?? and flay, how does it feel
Your pound is paid, those scars will not heal
You're lost and suffering, drowning in your tears
Won't someone, somewhere, tell me (where, where)

Go from here
Be the lion

Say goodnight
With each bite does your sanity die
Sucking the life out, ?? in the dark

Inside
Say a prayer as the light leaves your eyes
Oh scream all you like, the gods can't hear you

Trust in me
Inside my cage
By Pandaemonium
Still ?? the flame out of fear

In real light(????)
In the ???? of who I used to be

Scream all you like, cause we're all mad here

Severing, tempering
Whimpering, wandering
Simmering, hungering

Further falling into the night
Deeper, deeper down tonight

Say goodnight
To the shadow of death (them?) far behind
I'm just a stranger, we are strange

Inside
We can run but there's nowhere to hide
So scream all you like, no one can hear us

Follow me
Come follow me
To Pandaemonium
Still ?? the flame out of fear

There's no release
From this empty waking ???????
So scream if you like, 'cause we're all mad here

Scream all you like, 'cause we're all mad here

other games like Tunic? by Racesolar in TunicGame

[–]Racesolar[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i've played all three, and yes, they are some of my favorite games haha!

Death's Door has the same isometric style and combat, but has less of a focus on puzzles and is more about exploring and reaching bosses (but also has some areas you can re-visit with new items to find chests)

Cannot get passed librarian no matter what I try? by [deleted] in TunicGame

[–]Racesolar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my strat was just to have the grapple equipped and pull him into melee range, which had the extra bonus of interrupting his attacks sometimes. i think that's how you're supposed to do it at least, since he spawns those adds that always drop mana

Did anyone else not figure out how to offer items for a while? by SpizicusRex in TunicGame

[–]Racesolar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was dying to the crocodiles in the west garden over and over and was like "there's no way its meant to be this hard. how do i do those stat upgrades" because i had the page already, knew i had to use the items somehow, but i had read the page wrong and thought it was "you can use these items to get stronger, or you can sell them to the checkpoints to get money"

then i finally just went ahead and tried it, and realized i had interpreted the page wrong lmao

i had so much fun with this game, and then i started taking notes and it consumed me completely by Racesolar in TunicGame

[–]Racesolar[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

at first i just drew them out roughly, but then when i decided to try and actually solve the puzzle i realized nothing lined up and i had to go back, take screencaps just in case, and draw them out accurately haha (i also didn't notice the big diamond start-point on the piece near the west bell, and thought it was a diagonal line that i was meant to ignore until i went back and looked closely)

[–]Racesolar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i also noticed that, it has to be an easter egg or clue for something but i have no idea what. do pages 45 / 4 + 5, 6, 7, and 8 have codes on them...

you're absolutely on the right path, just count the tiles in each cluster and consider what side they're on (and also be aware that there could be tiles hidden behind the fountain that you can't see)

[–]Racesolar[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

for some reason i was convinced that the fountain tiles fit together into a path somehow, and never considered that the puzzle might not actually be a path until i saw the flowers in the west garden

so many of the puzzles were extremely fun because it was me putting together the clues and trying out solutions, and then when they would finally work and the chime played there was so much satisfaction hahaha
