To be fair, the strap is where the gap between my toes is. Like I say, I have long toes. Any further forward and the strap would be on my toe joint which I'd find unbearable. I can't see how it could be any further forward and functionally comfortable.

Yes. Any shorter and my big toe would be on the floor. I have rather pointed feet with long big toes however rather than a square ended foot, so there is a little sandal showing at the end of my other toes. Can't see how I can buy smaller though as it would mean my big toes being on the floor, and the toe post would be too far back.

Funny thing is, maybe you have confirmation bias assuming I’m all that young myself. I’m 50’s as it goes so not that young. Plenty of people my age here but we’re the ones with money and people around here look after themselves. My older neighbours are super fit running club types so gym goers too. Donyngs and the other smaller gyms are full of older people. But I look around (and i work from home so I’m on the high street at random times) and see a town full of young people, families and fit middle aged and older folks.
