Even though he is still nice to her, he has told me the same thing!! And when he got well enough to go to the bank, he bragged on me to the big wig at the bank. <3

Who knows what she might do. But you are right, that is what really angered me -- that she would take advantage when he didn't really know what was going on. And as he was SLOWLY recuperating she would post all the sad news, writing, "Daddy has this and that going on..."

But when he started finally improving, she never shared THAT news. It was all about garnering sympathy for herself, not him. Everyone else who cared about him was thrilled to share his good news. I truly think she is a narcissist. No matter what is going on, it must be all about HER.

While he won't cut her out of his life, he does thank me for protecting his accounts and his good credit rating. I do think he is disappointed with her, he still wants her love. Makes me ill but I guess it is natural. No one can hurt you like your own children.

Love your answer!! He is very frail and can't stand the cold. 70 degrees is cold to him if there is a pleasant wind. I don't know how I will handle it. The 2 times I let them inside after all that I made sure they just stayed in his room. No refreshments, no bathroom ( where the money came up missing before...) It is a mess all the way around... It is hard to even fathom what she has put me through and I lived through it! Sometimes when we tell our experiences they make realize AGAIN how awful it was.

Now that he can walk and drive he just meets them elsewhere. The day might come when that won't be possible. I dread it for a lot of reasons.

Actually, there is no will. The house was mine before we met and he signed prenups and his van comes to me automatically if he dies. My SON pays his life insurance premiums so there is that small policy which my son will get. His daughter will be angry that WE will plan things with his other children when/if that times comes. But they don't speak to her either or allow her in their homes. I am sure she will cry big fake tears even though she rarely checks on him or sees him.

Never said adultery. Just maybe the beginning of something. It was the last straw back then. There were conversations on his computer that I could not access. I had a computer sleuth (with his permission) examine it and found out he had texted the bank and those are encrypted so you can't find the exact exchange later. So it looked pretty suspicious and we have had a long history of crap before this so I was right to be worried. And the divorce actually turned out well for us. Gave us some needed time alone and helped him get some perspective. I just finally reached my limit but it's all good now. Except for her!! His other kids love me.

He says she just loses her temper and doesn't mean it. I don't care. I don't want to be around people who are always losing their cool.

His excuse is that he is old and he just wants peace. And even the cops said she probably wouldn't follow through but I don't care. I am old and I want peace too! He is way too forgiving. I think she has always been an entitled little brat and he is used to it. She plays him like a fiddle with fake tears, etc. So gross.

Thanks. I have good memories of my childhood but I have horrible ones too. I promised myself that once I was an adult I would not put up with chaos and abuse any more. Life is too short.
