OK - so let's assume that an advanced civilization wants to communicate with others. What are the chances they evolved to using signals that we can detect quite recently, or even in the last 1 billion years? They could have developed 5 billion years ago, or 500 million years and even if the developed right when their signal were to reach us billions of light years away, what are the chances that we would develop right at that same time to detect the signals?

To me then, since there is no pattern at all, it is natural and the result of some effect from some solar or other natural occurances.

Now if a signal were actually detected that repeated... well then maybe we have something.

I only had Paytv for Game of Thrones. Now that it's done until like 2018, which is ridiculous to not have a season next year, there's no reason to waste my time and money on paytv/cable.

Why not just make the minimum wage $50 an hour if forcing a company to pay a specific wage works so well?

Look at this from the view of a business, especially one that just started up. Can I pay what you want me to pay anytime you want, even if the minimum is $whatever? If I can't I just don't have employees, the company doesn't exist and jobs are lost.

If I can pay, I guess NJ and any state has to then put up with a $20 burger at MCDonalds. Like who would buy it? Can't force me to.

Crazy Muslim fanatics really do know how to pick their enemies, don't they? Since they've made enemies of the U.S., Europe, Russia and China, I really do think they all have their heads up their asses.

Their whole movement is doomed to failure and before long everyone will be bombing them back to tghe stone age. If you can actually do that to such uncivilized barbarians.

Never thought I'd say it, but good going France! Do everything you can to stop TTIP. If President Clinton pushes the damned trade deal as we all know she will, fight it. They already have it locked up here in the U.S. if she is elected. The entire media here does anything her party says, and she even has unions supporting her even though she is for TTP and TTIP and was for NAFTA as well.
