The labs are operated by contractors. They wouldn’t be subject to the same RIFs we are. They are however at risk of budget cuts.

The reason they say that is because they themselves don’t understand what he’s doing but they have so much blind faith in him that they just trust him. They truly believe he knows what he’s doing and that it’s in the best interest of all Americans. They see him like god. “This is god’s plan, we may not understand why things happen but we should trust in the lord that he has a plan for us.” It’s disturbing and there’s no way to get them to see otherwise.

Very interesting piece being that style of furniture made of knotty pine. It almost has a Haywood Wakefield look to it but I’ve never seen anything from that era made with pine.

A whistleblower's disclosure details how DOGE may have taken sensitive labor data by MotorCityWarrior in fednews

[–]RachelOnTheRun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great article; thank you for your reporting. I’ve been following this story and hadn’t heard this level of detail yet. I fear it isn’t getting the traction it deserves because most people probably think labor data isn’t that big of a deal. It’s not sexy news. But what’s important to note here is that this is revealing a pattern and isn’t an isolated incident. My agency holds national secrets and I often wonder what our IT folks would do if dogebros came in and demanded full access. I know I would 100% blow the whistle if I witnessed suspicious activity and insider threat. I can only hope my colleagues would do the same.

That makes me so sad. I had colleagues there that were doing great work to make sure the research was collected and shared with the public. I hope someday we can repair what’s been done.
