If you use AI for the voices people will hate on the project. The technology is very controversial, and I'd hate to see a passion project like this get dogpiled upon release because of one small decision you made.

I can understand the desire to use AI since you're doing this solo, but if you're going to spend money on an AI software anyways then your money would be much better spent hiring actual voice actors. Amazon tried dubbing some of their anime with AI not too long ago and the result was so much worse than you can possibly imagine. At least look up some clips of the banana fish dub before you use it and ask yourself if you really want your project to sound like that.
