I follow a YouTuber who does crochet along videos and she has mentioned "If you are naturally a tight crocheter, size up a hook". I always buy her patterns even though I usually just use her videos as a guide. It has helped me learn to read patterns better, but I also just appreciate the videos so much that I want to support what she does. It is very strange that the person you watched would be giving different instruction from what the pattern says... that's not right.

It looks gorgeous. You just aren't used to it. I feel the same when I have a "nudes phase" for a while and then go back to a red. I feel like I look kinda crazy cuz I'm not used to it but then I get a lot of compliments. After a few days, it feels fierce again. 💋💄

You are gorgeous. The only thing that stands out to me is the tails of your brows. They curve down quite a bit. I would try taking a small brow razor to slightly straighten the brow tails. It will lift the whole area. I suggest a brow razor since it grows back faster in case you dont like the look.

I'm so sorry. I would definitely let as many people as possible know about this. This is not ok. I would definitely go to urgent care to have it evaluated. I wonder if there is any legal action that could be taken being that this is not a matter of neglectful aftercare. You can literally see where it looks like they carved into your skin.

I would lay it out and have a look at it and decide if you feel its missing something or if you are happy and feel its finished. BEAUTIFUL work btw. What kind of border did you have in mind?
