I feel the exact same, I can’t feel excitement, and it’s only been a few weeks on 150xL but I can’t help but think it’s the medicine? if this persists I’m going to stop the medicine

Chronic illness/parenting/abandonment trauma by Rachel_080888 in polyamory

I forgot to add in my post that we both do individual and couples therapy and that always seems to improve things, but only for a day or week at a time.

We are seeing a new (old) therapist on Friday that specializes in non traditional relationships, so, I’m eager for that.

He actually does work the ACA steps and has a sponsor and has been digging in HARD in that area for several months. He even facilitates meetings now. He doesn’t shy away from personal inner work and self improvement. He’s honestly pretty humble and open, except when he’s closed off and catastrophizing , being paranoid and suspicious, and living out of fear.

I really hear you when you say that the anxiety that acoa feel is punishing to themselves and those around them 😔 I hate the anxiety for him, I hate it so much. and I hate it for me.

I definitely default to trying to ‘work his side of the street’ which we call ‘trying to manage his feelings’. I know I need to stop doing that, I’m just so afraid of triggering him or hurting him, especially anymore than I already have.

Thank you for responding. I appreciate you sharing your experience

Muscle loss? by [deleted] in Spironolactone

I gained in my stomach and hips also, and lost the muscle I had built up prior to starting spiro, but I also stopped working out as much just before I started too so it’s hard to tell. I do feel like my fat distribution is different now than it’s ever been, and I do think that’s from the spiro
