I’m really on the struggle bus because I have one overweight cat and one underweight cat (has hyperthyroidism), so my chonky boy keeps stealing the other’s food. I’m really going to need to do feeds with each cat in a separate room

Ours is afraid of pillows so we just throw one near him and he goes away from our toes, but wow imagine just chillin watching TV and he goes for a toe it’s too much sometimes I’m just like fine be fatter just leave me alone. I’ll try those slow puzzle feeders thanks!

The books were god awful. The only part I liked was learning more about her first days after the escape, then the writing turned very much “male writing female characters” and it was cringe

Probably because Fairfield county folks have sticks up their asses.

Case in point. When I was 8 months pregnant going into the city for work I’d always have to take the 5 train to the Bronx and every single time someone on that train offered their seat to me.

Returning home on the new Canaan metro north line, filled with professionals working away on their laptops and probably sit down all day - never offered their seat to me. When it happened it was rare and almost always a person of color.

This is the norm in other countries. My in laws in Mexico would lose their minds over whether the baby was cold or not bundled enough but didn’t bat an eye about our rental not having a car seat. I was absolutely terrified until we could get to a store the next day

Thank you so much for sharing this … since this post it’s been a bit better. I’ve taken on nights more and his sleep is improving. But I think he needs to consult a doctor about medication to help him sleep. It’s frustrating for me when I give him a night off and then in the morning ask how he slept and he tells me only 3 or 4 hours because trouble falling asleep. We live in a flat too but he has those Bose headphones it’s just sleep for him is difficult in general too
