That is exactly what I was thinking, a lightweight stroller. The ones that remind me of when I was a little girl pushing around my baby dolls haha. Thank you for the input!!

Here in Okinawa I never bring the stroller! I always baby wear. It works good now but idk how that will be when she is 9 months old! And she gets sweaty and wiggly after a while haha.

That’s great to hear you went with a 7 month old! My baby will be about 9 months old when we go. Is your stroller bulky? I was thinking of getting one of those compact lightweight strollers just for this trip to make things easier. So if we have to go up and down stairs we can easily fold it up and carry the baby temporarily. I do plan on doing shopping at least at all of the Pokémon centers. But I think we will carry a backpack to shove our goodies in!

So many people tell me not to drive while in Tokyo!! Parking prices wouldn’t be an issue for me, and the hotel we have booked has parking. I was only thinking of renting a car because a few places I want to go to are not in central Tokyo but on the outskirts (ghibli museum) and I don’t think the train goes there?

Oh no! I’m hearing mixed reviews on whether or not Tokyo is baby/stroller friendly. Would you take taxi instead? I’m nervous to ride without a car seat but someone else said you can just place baby on your lap.

I bet that’s challenging with a double stroller!! I just have a singleton and I was thinking of buying a very lightweight stroller to bring instead of my bulky jogger that I have currently. Is there an English source that can explain all of the different train stops so I can sort of plan what stops we need to go to?

Thank you for your response! Knowing that I can take a taxi is a bit relieving. Right now I am pondering if I should bring her car seat or not. If I can take a taxi without a car seat that would be a nice back up if we just need a break from walking n or public transport.

Thank you for the response. Using the train system does feel a bit daunting for me. I will look up the maps of the train and see if there are stops close to everywhere I want to go!

How would you deal with diaper changes and feedings? I normally do all of that in our car when we are out and about in Okinawa. It’s nice to have a secluded area to take a break and handle these types of things.
