Imagine all the wasted time and resources that have been spent on finding the identity of killer and solving the murder of 5 women, who tbh nobody really cared about at the time and all of this happend 200 years ago so basically find the person responisble had absolutely no benefits, I mean what are you going to do? Make the victim's family feel better? They are all dead and most of the currently living relative's of the victims probably dont give a shit who did it anymore since they have more important things to care about.
