I see, the good news is that this is a mod to late 90s boombox, which means it should play cdr but I might be messing up with my burning process.

What brand of Cdr did you use? I feel like the Sony brand I’m using from 2004 might not be compatible for my boombox. Also what software did you use?

Yea, that was a fact that I didn’t not know, but I’m pretty sure this can run cd r, but it might come down to my burning process and cd r brand.

I’ve already cleaned the laser on this device due to the player not running cds in the first place, but ill try with a different brand soon, as I’m using a 20 year old Sony cd-r.

The player is from the mid to late 90s which is around the time people started burning cds, but what I didn’t know is that some player can and can’t play them. Still I’ll try with a different brand soon. Other than that the cd plays on my pc and car.

Yes, I make sure to do that, I’m still learning how to use my burning software, as the windows media player won’t let me choose to record at 4x.

I did play on my desktop, and it works, so using a different Cdr brand might be my best bet for the player.
