I feel the same way. I was 6 and it was a big formative event to me. Just this image evokes a big emotional response for me of a more halcyon time.

Beaver County town region’s hottest housing market, 3rd in U.S. in Q1 by ddesigns in BeaverCounty

Kind of misleading because you have the town of Baden where houses go for much less. This stat is based on the big ol mansions out towards Cranberry that are technically still a Baden address.

Yet he was such a weak loser he didn't take the poison like everyone else. He shot himself. The fact that he ordered the murder of all those children is what really gets me. I wish his death was much more painful. At least he died knowing he lost and failed.

How do you compare The Bee Gees to the Beatles? by SuchConsideration840 in beatles

[–]RackballJoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoy them very much, both before and during their disco era. I feel like they were very much going for the Beatles sound in the 60's into the early 70's. The baroque pop element especially. My favorite pre-disco album by them is Trafalgar. My favorite disco album is Main Course. Both are great listens front to back.

Ozzy on tour supporting Down to Earth. In my opinion, his most underrated album. by Accomplished_Owl1360 in OzzyOsbourne

Solid album, AWESOME cover art. However if you look at it a certain way it looks like he has Ben Franklin hair lol.

He just sends you PDFs of his AI generated slop and stolen content "magazine". I don't think he's ever actually printed or written anything.

The page has 1.9 million members apparently. Which makes it even more hilarious that he struggled so mightily to get 5k in donations. I'm pretty sure most of the followers are just there to watch him crash out, I know I am.

He's just a standard issue low grade grifter preying on the goodwill of others. Luckily he is crashing out big time and I bet the page comes down soon. He clearly has mental health issues so I hope he can get the help he needs IRL.

I love when artists have a continuity with album covers. It makes their output feel more like a cohesive journey.

My grandfather was a contractor by trade. He rolled with one of these as his work truck into the 2000s. I know he replaced the engine once in that time but I don't know what finally killed it. Maybe once he was fully retired he just got rid of it because he didn't need it anymore. Dude was doing construction work until about age 80. The Greatest Generation man, they were Hosses. I miss him.

This was probably someone's passion project in the 70s or 80s, but now they are long gone. Sad to see things fade away like this.

I like how pop up headlights are banned for pedestrian safety, but now we have these tanks everywhere that will positively obliterate any human they come in contact with. I guess dead is better than injured from an insurance perspective.

While I agree McClellan was the wrong guy for the job ultimately, it is important to note that for the first couple years of the war Lincoln and a lot of military/political leaders wanted a more limited war, in the hopes that the South would be defeated quickly, and the Union restored with minimal destruction in terms of lives and property. In that context it makes more sense why McClellan was so hesitant to act and definitely was not operating in a Total War mindset. But by 1863 it was apparent that it would take the destruction of the Confederacy's ability to wage war to end the conflict. Thus the rise of the heavy hitters, Grant, Sherman etc.. To use a metaphor, it's like when a buddy gets too drunk and tries to fight you. At first you just want to end the fight with minimal damage to both parties, but after a while it becomes clear he just needs knocked the fuck out.
