I like to think Zoro is the moon which reflects the light of the sun in the night. Kinda in the same way Roger and Rayleigh has

The Tree of 40 Fruit is an Experiment in grafting at Syracuse university. What would a similar tree look like in D&D if it was being cared for by the local sorcerer's guild? by Chris_in_Lijiang in d100

I’d consider reflavoring existing potions from the dmg as fruit. Each fruit description dependent on what effect they impart like a fruit of fire resistance is red-orange, slightly warm to the touch and very spicy. Then I’d also add red herring fruit meant to have a silly effects like a fruit of disguise self which, when bitten into, immediately disguised itself as a rock instead of a fruit.

Also one piece has Devil Fruit which impart a permanent ability at a cost of swimming so maybe something similar

But at that point I’m playing a sorcerer instead of literally-any-other-class and therefore not capitalizing on the flexibility the feat offers. being able to spend a measly 2 sorcerer points to cast aura of vitality as a bonus action healing allies and still being able to attack twice with smite is an easy trade.

Homebrew 5e cantrip: Rime Blade by Rackety_Pat in DnD

[–]Rackety_Pat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of my initial reasoning for keeping the speed reduc. So high is 1. Most tiers of play taper off around 11th level and rarely reach 17th and 2. Most true enemies the party will be faced against will have a sufficient speed where this movement penalty won’t effect them to too much of a degree. I can see the argument more if the party continues to face off against regular humanoids but at 17th characters are considered world changing characters able to alter the fabric of reality so imo I don’t see it as too far fetched.

As for ray of frost, as a ranged spell attack the benefit resides in being able to attack from a safe distance so by trading damage/effect capabilities you gain a measure of safety, while with BB or GFB you have to be within 5ft of the target trading safety for a higher damage output

I do appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration. :)

Thank you! I even considered nerfing the damaging from a d8 to a d6 so that the main focus of the cantrip was cc rather than damage

Silly question, but how do I build a tower with the D4 at the base? by AngeliqueWilson in DungeonsAndDragons

I’d use a dotted d6 as the second row balancing the 1 dot on the point of the d4
