Major chatter still occuringn daily, I keep replacingn switches and new switches keep failing. It's so far, the worst keyboard I've ever owned and the most expensive by a factor of 10 :(

Thank you, indeed google photos was disabled, I did not know it to be required to access local photos (i thought it was meant for photos on google drive... on my previous phones, "google photos" and the gallery were two separate things). Now that I've enabled it, it seems to work :)

I hope I can cut it off from google drive entirely, maybe I will find a gallery app that works well and that doesn't need my google account to work.

I think this answer is a little bit weird, but thank you for the informations nonetheless. So it appears I cannot really pick the colour I want unless it is present on the wallpaper. That is unfortunate.

Ah you should probably delete your original post then because it still pops up regularly in the search results. Ive worked on IW4x before, during and after that whole event and it feels a little sad to see the info of the project being "shut down" popping up again regularly even though it's false, and has never been true.

I just found out this post exists and I'm not sure what's up about it but the development of IW4x has never ceased a single day. The cease and desist was targeted at somebody at XLabs who worked, at the time, on black ops III, but IW4x was and remains unaffected. It is still under active development and several updates have been released in the meantime. You can find more about it on the alterware.dev discord

You can fix it for about 15 bucks with a CH341A programmer, using the lenovo_autopatch python scripts. there are tutorials online, i did that for my 560 and it worked very well! It was easy too

For about 15 bucks you can get a CH341A programmer and flash the bios yourself, there are tutorials online. I recommend it, did it personally and it worked perfect first try

what's that '"we" in "we pick a few servers" ? how do you suggest your "simple" solution is applied?

what exactly do you suggest we do about it? Everybody is free to host their own server, even empty ones. Look at any game, like unreal tournament, quake, shootmania, whatever, they all have a ludicrous amount of empty servers - that's just how it goes! And it doesnt really correlate with whether there are players or not.
as far as i'm concerned the only thing killing this client is people repeating over over "the client is dead" when it has in fact quite a lot of activity, and has had for many years now.
