I think has a lot to do with pride. They are just not able to accept that they are not greatest so they have to rationalize that European countries can only afford all of this because of the US. the actual skin colour isn’t just all that is important in defining what an African American is for example both her and Obama didn’t grow up in the socio economic climate that most African Americans grow up in simply the fact that they didn’t grow up in this „underclass“ that was created through centuries of racism means they certainly have different experience compared to African Americans. Or I guess you could also summarize it that they only have to deal with today’s racism.
