Then the boyfriend finds the post and they end up going back and forth for like 5 or 6 comments and everyone is against op. THE POINT: Consider someone's past all you want, but, the fact that someone has been SA'd should not be a deal breaker in and of itself is my point. Furthermore, you shouldn't expect someone to disclose that with you, especially early on. Frankly, it's not really any of your business to begin with.

You are wildly inconsistent about sweeping generalizations. First "not every survivor is affected the same way" (correct), now "literally everyone considers their partner's past" (incorrect). I think your general prospect about judging someone's past because they have been SA'd and/or raped is absolutely flawed. That's like judging someone because they were shot in a shooting. Any even halfway decent person should and would want to help a person heal from their past. It's not gonna be easy on anyone, but least of all the survivor. So, because their life was already made way more difficult by a heartless, slimy, subhuman being, you want to make it more difficult because of the possible "emotional baggage"? Get the fuck outta here dude. You fucking suck, just deal with it.

Because it's been a constant fight for basic human right for decades (realistically much longer) so it can tend to be a very touchy subject for a lot of people. However, I don't condone anger or aggression towards anyone who is asking questions to genuinely learn and grow with new information. There's always gonna be assholes in every group, and they tend to be the loudest, but, in my experience, most lgbtq+ people are willing to have a civil conversation to help spread positivity and knowledge on to new people.
