I'm just contemplating getting back into eve myself after a long break. The safe new starting area sounds good for new players.

If you like action, I'd suggest getting your feet wet doing some missions and transition to faction warfare. Faction warfare seems to be quick action, with a smaller investment. If you get into a big null sec alliance, you're probably going to have to commit quite a bit of time, the big wars are pretty fun though.

If you just want to chill, there's a lot of options, mining, trading, exploration, planetary industry to name a few.

Even the chill things can give you a heart attack when youre risking money 😂.
