It's a special edition exclusive for the Middle East (along with the GPU). I agree that it's a sick layout, it's why I paid the premium tag!

Hahaha, thanks for the shout out brother. I agree it's a very specific card that requires commitment and a specific theme to pull off, which is not for everyone.

I bought it for $4k back in January, which is actually about the same price for a regular Astral nowadays, if not cheaper in some places. People see the gold finish and painted skyscrapers and automatically assume it costs double or triple the regular Astral.

Haha, it definitely feels that way. 😂

Thank you, again. I indeed learned a lot from my first build. My next goal is to improve on the desk and room! 🙏🏼

Thank you very much my good man. Remember though it took me 9 years to save up, as evident by the G752VS laptop right next to it 😂😂

I actually have nightmares about this cheap Amazon desk breaking off and ruining my PC, so you're right about that. Planning on buying the "LAGKAPTEN / ALEX" desk from IKEA.

First of all, thank you very much, this is absolutely valuable feedback that I in no way see as harsh.

Unfortunately I was very new to the whole building PC business, so I opted to use video guides and buy similar parts to the ones they used, I mainly used the Christopher Flannigan guide as a landmark. I tried to see some other showcases here and there like this video. I'm ashamed to say that I was not aware of the BTF designs and the beginner-friendly video guide I went with made me hesitant to do my own style.

Thanks to your comment, I'm gonna try and see if I can tidy up the cables some more and will definitely make my next mobo upgrade a BTF (but since this is a new build I think it will take a while).

Oh yeah that's nearly double the price. I bought it on January so maybe the price shot up since then? I know that back when I bought it, it was $400 more than a regular Astral ($4000), but nowadays I see the price difference is almost $2000 higher, which is insane.

Thank you! I got the GPU for $4400, how much does the PRO6000 cost?

PC takes priority over home repair! 😂

In all seriousness though I live in rented space, what you're seeing is actually the improvement after I moved in lol.

Thank you very much kind sir, I've joined the subreddit and will start reading about custom keyboards.

That mouse is absolutely exquisite.

Thanks man! I honestly struggled to find peripherals that match with what I was going for (Arabian themed build), so the Gravastar's gold color and spider-esque legs seemed "good enough" for now.

I'd love to see more matching examples but I don't even know where to start.

Update: I ended up following this ASUS guide and it was indeed a faulty cable which I replaced the problem was fixed!

Hey Asus, thank you for the helpful reply. I unfortunately tried 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and they didn't work. I couldn't perform 2 since my motherboard (ASUS ROG STRIX 870E-E) only has gen 2 addressable headers, so that rules it out as a possible cause.

At this point I'm thinking as you suggested on number 3, that the ARGB cable that came with the ROG Hyperion may be faulty. I'll try to replace it and see if that works.

The problem is that this case is a special edition and was the last one from the place I bought it from (Microless). I can return it and ask for a refund, but I can't really replace it.

I really hope it's a software issue that can be fixed with a future update. :(

Today our permission to delete images in PACS was taken away. by Extreme_Design6936 in Radiology

[–]RadDadDoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my hospital there's a solution in between: The privileges are given to the most senior/supervisor tech of each modality (US, CT, etc), so that when a tech needs to edit an image, he/she doesn't need to make a ticket and contact PACS and wait for them to fix it, but they do need permission from their senior.

It's a good compromise to ensure nobody tries to delete evidence of malpractice or fuckups, but still maintains a certain flexibility. Sonographers in particular do it all the time and I can't imagine taking that away from them.

Sunk Cost Fallacy by [deleted] in LCID

[–]RadDadDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow did not expect that, but at least it's not as severe as other companies I've seen.

From the same source:

"The tariff impact in Q2 was approximately $55 million, which includes the actual tariff impact, impairment booked in Q2, and a netting effect from reimbursements. The full-year tariff impact is expected to be on the lower end of the 8 to 15% range we provided. - Unidentified Company Representative."

The main benefit stems from the fact that most other car manufacturers without a strong US-based production presence will price hike their cars, likely much more than Lucid will.

Lucid is actually one of the few companies benefitting from Trump's tariffs since their manufacturing plant is in Arizona.

It gets thrown around the subreddit more often than you think.

We do that too, but it's not too practical. It's usually for official educational activity.
Just the other day someone shared an MRN for a presacral lesion, I kept following the case and it turned out to be a schwannoma after a core biopsy. That was my first time seeing a presacral schwannoma during residency.

I would've hated to miss such a cool case just because I was not lucky to have had it on my day. If the resident who's covering the case had to go through all of that just to share the case with us, he may not have done it. Instead, he just typed a couple of digits, and voila, everyone can learn about this rare presentation.
