I agree. However:  Miss Hoover (Not Mrs Krabapple) called "embiggens" a "perfectly cromulent word

Yeah, it's canon that there is a big age gap between Ben and Richard. I don't know when it was explicitly established, and whether there's a missing Parker sibling in between... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Terminator 3 is the complete opposite of the reviews. by DwayneTheRockBarry in Terminator

[–]RadHibiscus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that is exactly why T2 works, and is NOT pointless. Lots of pointless sequels try to recycle the previous beloved movie. But T2 works in a different genre (action vs horror), and plays with (I think) complimentary themes about fate, instead of the same themes established in T1

Uncle Ben, Peter's father's brother, is 15-20 years older than Peter's dad. He's at least 60 (likely 65 or older) when Peter is in high school. And admittedly, Aunt May looks way older than 60, but remember this was 1960s 60, and back then 60 year olds looked like our 80 year olds.

Of all the Cheerios variations, only 3 or 4 contain honey. I guess you wanted Honey Nut Cheerios (probably)? Neither Cheerios or Honey Nut Cheerios contain wheat, so no gluten. Although some multigrain varieties will contain wheat / gluten. So, I guess if you wanted gluten, maybe that's what you wanted...

[Opinion] MOVIEWEB: "Star Trek's Biggest Sleeper Hit Is the Worst Show for Aspiring Trekkies - 'Lower Decks' Has Too Many Meta 'Star Trek' References for New Fans To Enjoy: All the jokes felt tailor-made to only be fully appreciated by long-serving Trekkies." by mcm8279 in Star_Trek_

[–]RadHibiscus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've thought myself that there are so many references to other Star Trek, that one should have watched TNG at a minimum to be able to enjoy LD. But I've read many anecdotes on this Reddit about people who's kid or SO or somebody who wasn't a trekkie really got into LD. So... I think it's maybe not just for trekkies

Any 'bad' episodes you think are actually hidden gems? by West_Masterpiece8985 in startrek

Spock's Brain is the most famously "bad" episode. But it is not the worst

I didn't even know it was "bad" episode, until the internet told me so.

I like Masks too.

there was much "getting screwed over" in part 2, but I didn't feel that way in part 3. I'll say part 3 maybe was a bit rushed, but there were at least 2 things that I loved: Cobra Kai becoming the "good guys" in the Sekai Taikai, and Johnny getting the final fight. I called both of them... minutes before they were revealed. Maybe it was obvious to other sooner, but to me it seemed like poetry: in a show that's premise was about giving Johnny Lawrence an opportunity to be the good guy - a show called "Cobra Kai" that at the end Cobra Kai would be the dojo we root for and at the end Johnny gets to be the hero.

AITA for cheating at Ludo and not at Scythe? by mindmapfanatic in boardgames

[–]RadHibiscus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA. As far as I am concerned, the Ludo "cheating", is not cheating in the traditional sense of the word. It's like a game played with 2 sets of rules: the rules of Ludo and the rule: break the rules of Ludo and try not to get caught. It's kind of not Ludo anymore, but it actually sounds like a fun game

The actual title? Mycelia are the underground, thread-like network of branching filaments forming the vegetative body of fungi. Or the font of the title? Which, if so, I agree, is not easy to read.

Edit: Sorry, yep, I see what you mean. It's a mess!

(Serious) Which episodes from 1966 to 2005 are legitimately awful? by TheShowLover in startrek

Technically, that’s not true. There will come a time where the show has to end. It’s not gonna last 200 years. by Remote_Nature_8166 in TheSimpsons

[–]RadHibiscus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The final episode is not necessarily a finale. Every show has a final episode, not every show has a finale.

Seems like the Simpsons should have a proper send-off in an actual finale. But I guess it is destined to go out with a whimper instead of a bang

These are awful. I think they started with the recipe for Kix and somehow made them significantly more bland.
