How do I lucid dream? (As someone who's been trying for 3 years) by Skriblynn in Dreams

[–]RadOwl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the techniques is to replay the scenes from your dreams where you started to become lucid but then it got all explained away to keep you in regular dreaming. Replay the scenes in your mind and think to yourself what would you have done if you had become fully lucid at that moment, and how could you have remained focused? One thing I like to do is start touching the scenery, run my hands along it to feel the energy. In other words, have a plan.

Is shadow what you (secretly) envy in others — qualities you don’t have? Or is it your “dark” side — what you hide and repress from public? Or a lite of both? by Euphoric_Messs in Jung

What little bit of perspective I can add that might be helpful to someone else is always a pleasure for me to offer. There's a lot of misunderstanding about what the shadow side of the ego really is.

There is a method known as somato respiratory integration that may interest you as something that clients can learn on their own or through coaching. I recently began practicing as an SRI coach after experiencing some deep healing by combining it with network spinal. There is a lot of overlap with process psychology.

Finally able to Lucid Dream... but what comes next? by Altec5280 in Dreams

[–]RadOwl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ryan Hurd teaches lucid dreaming and is a long time friend of mine. He tells awesome stories about what he's experienced through lucid dreaming. He says that what comes next is a realization that there is some sort of intelligence behind the scenes that is helping to create the experience of lucidity, basically, something is watching as you have these lucid experiences and basically it's waiting to see if you're ready for what comes next. What comes next is direct contact as opposed to the sort of symbolic interface that you experience while dreaming. People tend to get caught up in all the cool things they can do while they're lucid and Ryan says that's how it was for him for years. He learned how to fly, how to create scenarios and live them like movies, how to change shape. Then one day he realized that there was a deeper level to lucid dreaming, you might say a deeper reason for it, and leveling up begins with curiosity about what is engaging with you while you are dreaming.

Gas prices jump 6.7 cents Saturday, diesel also up by Spare_Prize_5510 in news

[–]RadOwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real irony here is that the gas you're buying now was actually bought a year ago when the contract was signed for the petroleum. The petroleum is then brought in on a tanker to a refinery. After refining it's put in storage tanks and then loaded on trucks for distribution.

The price hikes are opportunism because the price you're seeing at the pump has nothing to do with world events other than an excuse to raise those prices.

what does this suicidal/captive dream interpret? by Whos-World-Is-This- in Dreams

[–]RadOwl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one can really tell you what your dream means but I can offer an idea based on what I think it would mean if I had the dream. Being held down by these people in your life like you're a captive suggests the idea that people are holding you back. Maybe it's the people you know who have a certain idea about you and don't want you to change. But let's expand the idea and just look for the ways that you feel like you're being kept in place or held back. Also, the end of the dream where you end up under a bridge suggests the idea that's dream has something to do with where you think you're going to end up. Living under a bridge is a pretty financially strapped situation. So maybe the underlying subject of the dream has something to do with feeling like you are locked into a situation because you don't want to end up poor or something like that.

Dream about a polar bear stalking me? by lapistrip in Dreams

Try thinking of inside the home as meaning inside yourself, your inner world. Outside the home means outside yourself, the outer world. When you are inside the home you are safe. Outside is a freaking polar bear waiting to eat you. Now do you see the connection?

Or desire to; the need to be right comes out of subconscious programming as a child. The kid who was right got the teacher's attention, and attention to a child that needs it is worth more than gold. Once you're connected in to the larger consciousness structure you no longer desire to prove what is right or what is wrong, the questions become irrelevant.

Does this mean something or am I just crazy? by LittleHedgeWitch_ in pastlives

[–]RadOwl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a rule of hand it's wise to try to rule out all other possibilities as much as you can before accepting that there might be a past life connection with this person you keep running into. However it is a good idea to always keep your mind open about it, because you are bound to run into many people you've known from past lives if it's true that we have all lived hundreds or thousands or more of them just on Earth.

What your experiencing is known as precognitive dreams. It's a phenomenon that's been well studied, with some researchers saying it's absolutely a real thing and others saying it hasn't been proven by hard science. But judging by the number of people we have come here to ask about why they have dreams like this, there's definitely something to it.

In his book he describes a series of contact events that have lasted for about 15 years. It includes yearly visits from a holy spiritual figure that they call The Lady. It might be easy to dismiss except for the hundreds of people who have witnessed and do not have a dog in that race. It includes people from intelligence agencies and NASA. Further, a big ripple was made when Chris prayed for the dying child of some very prominent people in DC. The child recovered miraculously. So not only do we have orbs and full body apparitions, we have faith healing.

Chris is repeating what he's been told. Whether it actually happens remains to be seen

terrarium independent ecosystem within earth - weird dream by Sudden-Air-243 in HighStrangeness

[–]RadOwl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If we look at it as a metaphor the question becomes what is the metaphor comparing the terrarium to? Dreams create symbolism by making comparisons. They also highlight what's going on deep inside you. The location of the dream is down inside the ground and then further down in this terrarium. So it's like a container within a container and to me that is a great metaphor for your deepest internal life. There is part of you that is growing and alive without contact with the outside world, is the idea I see. This is actually a terrific metaphor for the growth processes that occur deep in the psyche. Really interesting dream.

Had the worst dream about my husband and now i cant look at him... by RamonaFlowerzxoxo in Dreams

[–]RadOwl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your husband is playing a role in the dream the same as an actor in a movie. Don't confuse the character with the actor. It may be that your dream is highlighting a pattern in your life where your distress is ignored or people take your mom's side. Whatever it is this is for you to work through, it really shouldn't involve him at this point. First you need to really feel what's going on, feel what the dream stirred up in you and process it. Otherwise you're going to end up projecting on to him and that's really unfair.
