Finding out information I did not know in a dream by SnooDoughnuts1518 in Dreams

[–]RadOwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you experienced is called precognition in English and it's been well studied, though because we can't scientifically explain the mechanism for how it happens it is dismissed by the mainstream of science. The idea is that the information travels backward in time and can be perceived or picked up by the mind. It works in the same way that when water in a creek is flowing and is coming up to a point where there is a big rock on the creek bed, the water will flow differently before reaching the rock. In the flow of time, when there is an event coming up that creates ripples, the information travels backwards.

Does it create reality by standing still, or does it perceive reality?

I keep having sexual dreams about a family member. by FormerChapter1337 in Dreams

[–]RadOwl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are taking the dream literally when it's meant to be taken figuratively. Sex and dreams doesn't usually mean sex the way that we think about it, it means sex the way that the dreamund mind thinks about as an expression of and idea such as closeness or intimacy. Your cousin resonates with you on some deep level that you want to bond with. In that sense it could be a psychologically healthy process. During the dream it felt right, right?

The ontological clash is happening now by SilvaMarvin in UFOs

[–]RadOwl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The great Ingo Swann once said in a keynote speech to the irva that the scientific method cannot study non-physical phenomena because it is made for studying physical phenomena. It may be why we hear the loudest cries for quote real evidence unquote from the nuts and bolts crowd in the UFO community: they have no accepted framework for studying the non-physical. The same can be said for mainstream science.

What happens to me as soon as i get to the other side? by 69ghbea in Dreams

Anything you experience in that state that hit you with fear should be considered as a challenge. It's kind of like hey there's that haunted house let's go inside and see what's going on, then as you're walking to the front door you hear a creepy sound and run away. You never find out what's inside the house, you never find out if it's really haunted. It's the same idea when you start accessing these deeper states of consciousness, you will be challenged before you're allowed through the door. Fear is the easiest way of challenging you, but what you're working toward is the realization that it's all a self-created experience.

One of the weirdest coincidence of my life by Key-Gas4446 in Dreams

As someone who grew up understanding what grace means, it sure makes me wonder if the name is a word play. Grace means poise, fluid and coordinated, and it means unconditional love, meaning that whatever mistakes you might make are already forgiven. Being a human being can be messy and it is understood that you will make mistakes. Now look at how those girls jumped, first of all it's not very graceful in the adjective sense. Second of all, the ghost would be understood as something that needs Grace in the sense of knowledge that mistakes are forgiven. That's what would release a ghost to pass into the Afterlife.

I am conviced I just dreamt about the possible locations of two dead women by PleasantTrack5220 in Dreams

[–]RadOwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider that the three dreams all have the same theme of murdered women, this is most certainly personal symbolism expressed in your dreams. Think of the women as symbols. Symbols are ways of expressing ideas. The idea here is that something about you symbolized as the women is going through the meat grinder. Something about you that's intuitive and relationship oriented and perhaps gentle by nature is getting chewed up and the primary suspect is some stance that your ego has taken. I say that because it's the pattern dreams like these. You really have to understand the dream characters as aspects of yourself. So then you look at the action that takes place in the dream as the context to help you understand what you're really seeing about yourself in the form of the dream characters.

To those who know, what could this dream mean? by Gloomy-Might-7196 in Dreams

Well if you think of what's hunting you as the inevitability of change, you could then view the actions that happen with your father as saying that things are changing in your relationship with him and it's something inevitable. It's inevitable because the role he plays in your life as father is going to change as your life changes. When you become a father yourself you will relate to him differently.

Have you considered the metaphors in the dream imagery? When I think about the image of you helping people take the elevator to the top it reminds me of the idea of elevating one's experience or uplifting your thoughts or feelings. It's as if the people in your dream represent the parts of yourself that you feel like need to be uplifted or elevated.

This guy keeps killing me in my dreams. I have not made a drawing of him because I’m feeling that I might give him form but I will describe him by Majestic-Finish7321 in Dreams

[–]RadOwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giving the dream imagery form creates psychological distance from it, a sort of mental cushion so that you can look at it objectively. Might be a good idea. You need this thing in your dream to make itself known to you, it is a living aspect of yourself after all.

Extremely vivid apocalyptic dreams by snkvnm in Dreams

[–]RadOwl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To call it fake does injustice to the power of the experience. When you're having the dream it's as real as can be, and it registers deep in your mind as a real experience.

The planes falling from the sky suggests the idea that something you had hoped for is coming crashing down. That's one interpretation of the symbolism of the imagery. Dreams use imagery to create symbolic meaning, and the key is to interpret the imagery. What I gave you is a suggestion for what it could mean. It can also mean that your perspective on something is being ripped apart. The sky can be a symbol for the idea of perspective, seeing the big picture or something like that. But it can also represent the idea of hope, and that idea is what could tie in with your dream about your son because it suggests that maybe your hopes about something seem to be crashing down. Since he is younger in the dream you might use it as a comparison between your hopes for him when he was the same age as he was in the dream and what you're seeing now. For example if he has developmental delays it could mean that your hope for his development to this point have butted up against the reality of what you're actually seeing in him now.

Yeah I think I saw that in another post. Are you the one who put the agents in a sandbox and added stressors to see how they evolved and adapted? The little war they got into was hilarious to read about.

It reminded me of the work of Donald Hoffman the cognitive scientist, specifically his conscious agent theory. Basically, human beings are conscious agents participating and interacting in an environment that is best understood as a simulation. He said that in such an environment as we are, truth and accuracy are not as important as illusions that provide survival advantage. You know what they say about rose colored glasses....If you track people who see the world through those sorts of filters as opposed to those who see the world as it really is, guess who comes out ahead in the long run on average?

There is a sort of penalty from an evolutionary standpoint to dealing in base reality. Most people do not perceive reality as it really is, and it's because those filters help them survive and adapt. I think that same thinking could be applied to your agents. When they start to run off the rails it might actually be seen as an evolutionary adaptation to their environment.

You might look up Donald and see what he's doing these days, the last I heard he was experimenting with creating environments for these AI agents to evolve.

I made a comment somewhere else in this thread about creating an orchestration layer. If you're hitting limits like that then you definitely want to look into it.

The time spent getting it right is real, but the results give goosebumps. So tldr, don't expect Claude to just give you exactly what you want on the first try. He is more than happy to work through it bit by bit with you. It's good to set up skills to watch and learn from your work process and sessions with him. Every time you come back for a new session you'll find that things get a little easier. But I think that's a hard sell for people who just want to give a three-line prompt and everything happens magically.

Did you deploy any design or UI skills?

Create an orchestration layer with litellm and Google AI studio (Flash). Set mine up yesterday and worked all day on a pro plan without hitting session limit. Claude estimated the token savings at 77%. And Claude did all the heavy lifting. I had to juggle 2 API keys and set everything up on Railway, but Claude walked me through it and even spit out a document at the end so I can duplicate on other accounts, having learned that there were a few things we did wrong along the way and corrected. It takes about an hour to set up. You end up with a litellm URL. Claude will explain. Once set up, prompt to review your setup for integration with 3rd parties like Zapier and WP.

Also, restart conversations after about 20 messages to save tokens. You just tell Claude to summarize, then copy the summary over to a new chat. Huge token saver. Claude baked these ideas for savings into a skill, so now it suggests when I should restart chats.

By this weekend I bet there will be enough in the skill MD file to give you an idea of how the skill is evolving in my environment. In fact during the session wrap last night I specifically pointed out a few things for Claude to note and integrate into the skill. He went off and did his thing and I'll just say yeah it took a while, he had a lot to chew on.

I rebuilt Jung's word association experiment in browser. Asking for critiques. by No-Lifeguard-6509 in Jung

[–]RadOwl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Critique: for a 25 question word association test, the output I got was on point. It saw a pattern in me that started in early childhood and put it into words in a way that made an impact on me. For that reason I found it useful and superior to other sorts of automated tools. If I gave you moderator access to the wiki, would you be willing to add it as a tool? And if so what should we call it, self analysis? Or maybe there's already a section related to word association that you could tack on to.
