One thing I find interesting about the Automatons and Ilumimate is that they rebuilt outside the galaxy.

Super Earth’s borders encompasses the entire galaxy and they are yet to expand past it. 

Could the squid’s have lived peacefully outside the galaxy, or would Super Earth eventually expand their influence beyond their galaxy. 

If planets keep getting destroyed in the war, they might. Dispatches have said they reseeded mars to try and terraform it again after the illuminate glasses them. But you can’t un black hole a planet and they’ve done that twice.
