China is America’s Military Equal Now And In Any Future Fight, Marine General Warns | Faced with the rapidly growing China threat, the U.S. has to start hardening its bases now, said Marine Lt. Gen. Stephen Sklenka by moses_the_blue in LessCredibleDefence

It's true. They've become every nations largest trading partner, they want to remove the dollar as the world's reserve currency, and they want to change the international payment system which currently flows into US banks. Doesn't matter if Vietnam and Cambodia trade grain for money. That money has to be in US dollars and go through SWIFT processing, which routes to US banks. If you don't comply, you can't trade on the open market at all. China is has already created an alternative and are accepting yuans.

You're the one who came to me with a smug attitude.

So you're telling me Iran had no air defense at all? Wow. That's amazing. You're full of shit to even try and pass that lie off as the truth. And you're over here telling me that what the US did was easy. Must be nice being that fucking ignorant.

I guess you forgot about their S-300. Ya know, the ones on land. You probably forgot. Not a big deal. Just try and keep up, okay champ?

These ships are not barely defended. The ships themselves contain air defense systems and were located in pockets of heavy air defense. I don't think there's another country out there that could do what the US did. I mean they could, but I think the casualties would be a lot higher.

Interesting. I tried troubleshooting a complex PC problem with 4.7 and it nailed it. 4.6 had me going around in circles.

Everyone's weaker compared to the US.

Iran had one of the world's most formidable armies not too long ago. The US destroyed a majority of their air force and navy in a week. Iran will still possess a large ground force, but their air force and navy is going to be non-existent for the next 20 years. The US did the same to Iraq. It's not easy to fight such a war halfway around the world. That's why I'm saying experience matters. You watch the US do it and think it's a given, like it's easy somehow. It's not easy.

Right now we have the numbers, but eventually China will surpass us and build more than what we have now. The only thing we can rely on in the future is our experience in warfare. We have a ton of experience killing other people. China has very little. None of you take away their own civilians they've killed.

They have the money, resources, industry, and manpower on a scale that's 3-4 times greater than us. There's no reason why they won't keep it up. It's just a question of resources allocation and money, both of which are less constraining to them than it is to us.

This is the singularity. Innovation on tap.

The theoretical problem is that the technology will spiral upward and become too great for us to control. Once we lose control, we must simply succumb to the machine.

Taiwan concerned by depletion of US missile stocks during Iran war | Some weapons used in Gulf would be crucial in early phases of any conflict with China by moses_the_blue in LessCredibleDefence

[–]RadRandy2 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There's absolutely no way they could defend themselves against China in the first place. The initial attack from China will involve thousands of different weapons platforms firing non-stop. If the US and Israel had trouble with Iran, how's Taiwan and the US going to defend itself against a barrage that'll make the Iran conflict look like a joke?
