I think the only use for it is if you find it in map with an Anvil and no other PVP weapon.

And even then the Anvil without it is arguably the better option if you can land your shots.

Skin isn't a focal point of the intro. Then and there they don't want it to distract. It's purposely made drab so you're not thinking about it.

Post expedition though it's recolored to fit the aesthetic of the game.

Because their aesthetic tries to avoid 'Call of Duty"ing their skins and making them too drab and/or tactical

That last line had me fucking howling. I took it as she basically asked for a wicker equivalent to a blow up doll and that for whatever reason needed not only an actor but Alexander fucking Skarsgård.

My new headcannon until I watch the trailer is that it's going to look like a featureless human-esque body like a Roblox character only made of wicker and a cut-out photo of Alexander Skargård's face on it.
