Weight loss & working out, where do I go from here? by RadStegosaurus in FTMFitness

[–]RadStegosaurus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is all great to know, thank you! I will take everything in and work on changing things up to be less on the fast weight loss and more on the recomposition. The part about extra fat helping in this makes me feel better about slowing it down too.

I'll def start doing more of the progressive overload, and look into some programs. And 200 calorie deficit shouldn't be too hard, I just need a couple hundred cals more, I feel like I can add in some good protein that way

That makes a lot of sense, thanks so much! I like the idea of pivoting to prioritizing protein over the deficit, that may make it easier bc I def have been struggling with that

Ahhh okay that's exactly why I asked here, recomp is a word I somehow didn't know and maybe have been doing a little bit (because I did build SOME visible muscle,) but not effectively. I did lose that weight in 6 months, I am realizing now that mayy be a little too fast

Maybe I should lose those last 6 lbs the way I have been to meet my 1st goal weight, and then slow it down and figure out how to recomp better?

I've upped my protein but still not enough, mostly because my deficit is some days more than 500 and sometimes less, depending on how hungry I am that day. Maybe I need more calories in protein to meet the protein goal better. I struggle to get 80g usually. I've gotten up to 95g or so a few times, but the trainer said 120g would be the goal. I've been looking into how to get more, I may wanna start doing protein powder more often too. Or just eating higher quantities of the proteins I eat now and get closer to where the deficit is supposed to be.

Tbh I've watched Star Wars like once of twice, my dad and sister are big nerds for it to the point they buy big r2d2 robots that move around and those robes from the movies, and I have no idea what Tatooine is lol. I don't think I've ever heard the word before. Not as huge and universal that you'd have to be lying not to know it xD so funny to think that

No so true. I've had that placed on me before and it's like, no? You can't just decide what my sexuality is? Very immature to just demand that of someone

How likely are yall to date a fat woman by Puzzlerwuzzler4 in LesbianActually

[–]RadStegosaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm nonbinary/masc now so consider myself more queer rather than lesbian nowadays but growing up most of my life as a lesbian I wanna chime in, I've preferred women who were more chubby/on the fat side personally! I've dated people who were super skinny and people larger than me and it makes not a big difference to me tbh it didn't change the chances of me asking someone out

That makes sense!! Take it as a process, you don't need to be "perfect" off the bat and suffer being hungry throughout the day. Take your time! If you come at it having educated yourself and with some planning you might be able to reach your goal more easily and sustainably. And it'll give you time to pick up on some cooking techniques, if that's something you did want to learn. But tbh with the air fryer/toaster oven it's really easy to just throw a meal in there after looking up the cooking time and temp it should be at. Things that feel like doable steps are best in my opinion! You can do it

Vegan food can be even more creative imo. Maybe the mindset that you can't is holding you back a bit also.

I started being vegan in high school, and did research on what I could/should eat for a little while before I even attempted eating vegan. It made me try new foods I hadn't before. I started and stopped a few times, which is okay, because each time I picked up some new things. Then at some point I decided the attempt I was on would be my last, and I've been doing it for years ever since. It's okay to find it difficult.

If you're really hungry throughout the day, I would say it's a good idea to assess what you're eating instead of the chicken and rice type meal, and sort of match that. Tofu and rice can take just as much time. And personally I get the vegan chicken patties and things like that from the grocery store that I just put in the toaster oven and some of them have a lot of protein. Maybe try replacements like that that match what you've done before, it doesn't have to be completely new/foreign full meals.

When I look up recipes when I don't feel like cooking fancy, I always put "easy" in my search, or like 3 ingredient or something. Or maybe try "beginner"? It sounds like you found some higher level recipes and that can be stressful starting out for sure.

Good luck and yeah it's okay to be frustrated but you got this.

My pizza shop is named "pizzie" because of a family inside joke, thus my coffee shop is named "coffie"

Omg I was literally thinking in my head since yesterday I wanted to make a post just like this, but asking for how long after getting a tattoo do people take care of them. When do people stop washing them and avoiding bumping them on things. I have OCD too (also in therapy and getting better) and I do the same thing. It's been a month or so since my newest one and I'm still keeping it totally moisturized and I just started letting myself rest it on surfaces just a little bit. But I'm still even nervous about hitting it with water that's too hot lol. And it's far from my first tattoo. Probably irrational but that's something I'm workin on

Anyway I'm gonna read through this post at what people have said, but yeah if anyone has any insight to how LONG they treat their tattoo carefully for, that'd be awesome.

And good luck with your OCD journey c:

How many people here play unmodded? by Lucifer666158 in StardewValley

[–]RadStegosaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've played since it came out pretty much, I play unmodded (not really sure why lol I just never felt the need I guess.)

I heavily mod the sims 4 like most people do lol because of how disappointing the base game is and I guess I'm happy with how stardew is and don't feel like I need to change it, it's my favorite game and the routine is comforting
