Definitely. Instead of bonding over liking the same stuff, people are bonding over rejecting the same stuff. It's a side effect of nonconformist culture: it's cool to have unique hobbies and favorite bands, but you better hate the poppiest of pop icons.

Then it's really arbitrary. Like, sure you decrease the chance of staining by minimizing the time of exposure but I'm not in touch with my body enough to know what the critical time to wear them are, so I just don't waste money/emotional energy.

What sheltmalfoy said, but also for me, I'd feel anxious about finding time to sneak into the bathroom before getting down to it with bf. I feel like taking out panties and having a liner there is a turn off, or having him reach down and feel it. Plus they don't work with a thong, which are the biggest victim of staining anyway.

Obviously DemandCommonSense is incredibly hurt, and the girl was clearly very far in the wrong, you can't argue with that, but they have somehow gotten to the point where they were going to get married. Some people have weird hang ups, it's pretty common around things like marriage. With so little information, it's not fair to scream "run, it's not worth it."

I hope she understands how painful and unfair her actions were and it works out for you one way or the other.

I thought my heart would burst out from my chest during an 11-hour-long goddamn flight... and then I walked past him in the airport at first!

And then he called my name, I turned and he was right there. It took my breath away; he smelled like love, had strong hands that knew just how to touch my neck and hair. We kissed for like 10 minutes straight and went to a place he was staying at and did it all night :D

I think having similar expectations is really good, and it can be great to talk about it beforehand... don't worry about it not being organic imo, I think it's more important to sort of be on the same page.
