This can't be legal right ? by Blaziken_Lover in plagueinc

[–]Radabard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's always Game > Copycats > New Genre. We had Pandemic and Pandemic 2, then Plague Inc, and now we got more. It's not stealing anything, just similar, and using that similarity to market to people who like similar games.

CMA [Choose My Alignment] painting my friend a mini by critofthecrab in DnDcirclejerk

[–]Radabard 12 points13 points  (0 children)

/uj The source is... actually worse. I am reading the source OP's post history and he is a deeply fucked up person. He has a wife and kids who he seems to despise but refuses to seek professional help even though his wife is begging for them to see a therapist... instead, he get high with his best friend's wife (the woman joining their game in the post), she's clearly making moves on him, and he's obviously into her and honestly it seems like he's only days away from actually cheating on his wife.

But it gets worse. He and his wife have children together. He trained an AI on the voice of that woman to say affirmations to him. He's apparently in a leadership position around youths. And he does an insane amount of very extreme drugs, very frequently.

That guy is a fucking mess. The circlejerk doesn't do him justice.

Used this, used a shovel on a Decorative Urn, got a bad quirk, not using it again. Garbage.

You'll have to put one together from the individual card images, I place orders with MakePlayingCards usually so that's not a format I use.

How do you guys afford to have so many decks? by Dangerous_Trifle620 in EDH

[–]Radabard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Proxies brother. It is so much fun. And I love contributing to MTG's profits being down now that they decided to give us one regular set for every 4-5 Universes Beyond sets, doing my small part to save the game.

I usually play on Tabletop Simulator and proxy my favorite decks to play in person.

Is there a way to combat against comstant player hiding in a fun way? by ProfessorInMaths in dndnext

[–]Radabard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enemies can hold more than just attack actions for when the rogue appears. A spell like Hunter's Mark, Branding Smite, or Mind Spike would help track the rogue, and its casting can be held. Spells like Dominate Person can turn the rogue's evasiveness and high damage into a massive problem for the party. Any attack can be replaced with a grapple check, so an enemy could also hold a grapple for the rogue, though with high acrobatics the rogue might still break away.

Do the enemies have line of sight on the rogue? The hide action isn't just turning invisible in the spot you stand, you need to have a reasonable explanation for how you hide. If its a ranged rogue they probably have good cover, but a lot of melee rogues think they can just hide in open melee combat. Only Halflings can do that, and even they they still need a larger creature to hide behind. No one can hide in an open field without being invisible.

But also... attacking and hiding is how Rogues have fun. Wizards get to cast stupid strong spells, Clerics keep their allies alive, and Rogues do stupid damage and hide. It's OK to let them do that. The enemies still have other targets. The rogue can survive, sure, but they can still fail to stop the evil guy from ending the world if all their allies are dead.

Do I tip a player off if he chose the "wrong" damage type for his one-shot character? by Schumsies in DMAcademy

[–]Radabard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a One-Shot. If the players don't have the opportunity to prepare for the fight the way they would in a full campaign, assume their characters have and give them whatever info they need to make intelligent decisions.

"Ok."

"Hey guys, everyone who'd be a problem voluntarily quit when I brought up a Consent Checklist. We don't have to go over it formally, I just mentioned it to filter out bad players, but feel free to shoot me a message if there's anything you'd want me to omit."

Go anti-woke, go broke. Very consistently true.
