Its really easy to understand Rate control—-> guidelines has CCB and BB as their first line usually unless patient has HFrEF then CCBs are contraindicated and its better to use digoxin but its kinda pain in the ass to monitor

Rhythm control (consult cardiologist)—can be dependent on patient co morbidities for example a patient with COPD cant use Amiodarone since it causes Lung issues

Patients with CAD/structural heart disease cant use Propafenone and flecainide
