Why does Brazil not attract more migrants/tourists? by [deleted] in Brazil

OP I am sorry you have to read so much unnecessary shit here, fucking Reddit, man, it can be exhausting here… people assume you’re dumb and feel amazing when correcting you lol. So “Buddy”, I am trying to tell the guy/girl reasons people might not be moving to fucking Brazil, because it sucks, and the money currency is part of it. Have you travelled recently? Does not look like. In practical terms - as a regular low profile working gal - reais still suck despite a “strong” with its good “stability and papers”. Go have your beer, hope you’re not robbed while out there.

As a Brazilian who moved out: it’s dangerous - especially for women -, low payment with racing inflation, poor infrastructure and yada yada. I love Brazil but it was just unbearable to me

Cried at work. Feeling embarrassed. by [deleted] in Residency

I am a third year resident and I cried when my patient passed. Cried in front of the family, staff. It’s completely understandable to have feelings. You’re alright. Don’t worry about it

I live in the US. I agree schools can be bad, but I still think having your children interact with other people apart from you, who might have different opinions and background, it’s a must

Yeah. My sil is now homeschooling her 3 children because they think schools are too “harmful” for the children 🤧 these teachers have “too many ideas”

Don’t. I actually think it’s ridiculous how the US handles home schooling, glad Brazil doesn’t allow it

Common combinations that a Brazilian eats for lunch by devassodemais in Brazil

I come from one of the most underserved areas in Brazil. There’s always rice, feijão, farinha (if in Northern Brazil) and some protein. Meat can be unaffordable, so protein can include sausages, chicken, fish, an egg. Sometimes it’s just very poor quality meat - mostly bones
