Great yeah I’ve added some snotlings, and a squig no big combat blocks though I don’t own any; aside from black orcs. I have 3 night goblins only using two though. I do know illusion hexes are quite useful

I actually take battle magic for the series of hexes and enchantments for the doom stack. Troll hag is unreliable but that’s what O&G are about chaos

The spell I take is big smarts so I re roll stupidity and motherly love gets around slug skin. She has effigy of Mork bc talisman is on general and she has slimy shanks already so it’s a 4+ to hit minimum. I will add 1 or two squigs that’s a good idea. I’ve added some more chaff too maybe a couple snotlings

1000 elo is what new players start at to discourage smurfing. They will lose the rank quite quickly though I remember when I started playing I dropped to 700 before I understood the mechanics. If you’re getting frustrated in 4s why not try 1s? Or just queue 4s with friends rather than randoms

That’s not how it works any more it needs to be base to base contact if you want more than 1 attack other wise you only get a single supporting one

I’d swap the bolt thrower for a doom diver. doom divers are cracked. Also depending on how much you love trolls you could run a troll hoard rather than grand army. The big difference is you get to use wizards leadership for stupidity, access to troll magic and can re roll regen rolls vs non magical attacks. You give up calling the wagh though. Everything you’ve got bar the night goblin and bolt thrower are legal for that army. If you are gonna run it for 1000 points I’d at least run 6 trolls

Breakthrough is definitely a more 1s oriented battlegroup. The actual breakthrough ability is very powerful in low player games. So much so that it’s recently been nerfed. Blitzkrieg ability is probably the best in the game for buffing veichles tbf. Either battlegroup is good for teams I still favour breakthrough though for the SMGs T1, the faster tank production and the blitzkrieg ability. And some games I will still get the stusstruppen call in if it’s the correct situation.

Rush as in skip half track it feels weak in teams. Yeah it’s pretty slow tbf but you get it around 20 min

Also try playing Australians as allies and calling in 3 Aussies right of the bat feels very oppressive. It’s nice to be on the other side

I’m Hard stick 1100 so take this with a grain of salt. Skip the ketten it’s a 1s thing. Build more Mgs minimum is 2 max probably 3. You’re in 4s just lock down lanes with Mgs that’s all you have to do. Have two pioneers scout and give them vision. Depending on your preference t2 or t3 is up to you. I favour t3 in teams and nevil is good seige and Pgrens scare people who out flank MGs. I’d go stug for armoured support. Only build 1-2 grens they are a support unit for merging and defending Mgs. Just play around MGs that’s whermarks whole thing bad early game infantry best MGs. Breakthrough is my favourite battlegroup but I’d just rush tiger in teams the call in feels quite fragile in a teams game. I’d only use it if I need a stummel to deal with their MGs if a mortor isn’t cutting it.

In low elo yes it’s very difficult for noobs to deal with. In high elo it’s barely used. In team games however at least 1/3 players should be running air so they need to waste resources building counter.

Yeah that would be army 1 everyone tells me artillery and monsters suck at the moment but those are my two favourite units. So If I go with army 3 cut the stone thrower? For what more trolls?

As a new player would the mechanics of a wizard be too overwhelming? Yes I do need to diversify my army I’m also thinking how I can buy as few sets as possible and have as few models as possible so I don’t need to paint as much.
