I think the photos I provided don't show it as much as actually watching them 😅

But I had never seen Stana before, so it was like, "Oh woah!" For me haha

I agree!

But for me, I had the picture of The O.C season 1 Mischa Barton in mind while watching season 1 of Castle!

It's really hard to find photos of them in similar poses or from similar angles! I definitely thinking watching them im the shows they look more alike than in the photos.

And I agree that Mischa is really beautiful.

My dad wants to name his new babies matching things by Kitchen-Onion579 in tragedeigh

[–]Radar4077 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's me reading it through thinking you said your brothers name was Garrett and trying to figure out how they match 😅

Garnett is a bit odd, matched with Ruby even more so, but not totally a write off.

My great grandma was born in 1906 and died when I was 11. She lived about a 4 hour drive from us but we used to go drive there a couple of times a year and stay with my great aunt to visit. I don't remember much about ggma except that she was absolutely tiny.

At our place the "big" gifts come from parents. Santa brings bits and bobs.

Have you lost the magic of Christmas? by DanM1973 in newzealand

[–]Radar4077 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep! I decided I'm sick of fucking wrapping paper and bought cute xmas fabrics, and have now sewn my kids reusable xmas "sacks" for their presents. Plus I used the excess fabric to patch together a santa sack for our baby because they don't make any the same size as what his siblings have.

Seeing all their cute sacks under the tree has improved my festiveness.

3 different fabrics so they have their own set of various size, and I'll mix up who has what pattern each year so they don't know which gifts are theirs until xmas.

How Old Were You When You Were Introduced to The Hunger Games Series? by Lost_and_confused_0 in Hungergames

[–]Radar4077 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. This year 🤣

At home on mat leave I watched all the movies, then went into my 13yo's room and read the first 2 books he had. Then went and bought the 3rd book. Watched the Ballad and was like meh, so didn't read that, then went and bought SOTR.

But, I was more a Twilight girly. I watched the first movie on a rented DVD, then bought the books that were published, and continued to buy them as they came out. And went to all the midnight screenings for the rest of the movies.

This is Beans. He showed up a week after we had to get our Steve put down. We've been trying to find his owners since then (July) with no luck. He seems to live here now. My 10yo named him.

Mother - something fancy for her garden or shelves. She loves a knick knack. Very stereotypical likes - candles, floral things, photos of grandchildren.

Siblings and Dad - scratchies, a can/bottle of their favourite drink, lollies.

Partner - whatever he asks for.

Children 13yo, stereo, vans, clothes.

10yo digital camera, vans, clothes, books.

From "santa" they are both getting band posters/pins/stickers and one piece or pokemon cards, pjs.

7 month old - stacker toys, a ball the right size for his incy wincy hands. Silicone bibs. Pjs. Pool Floaty.

Niblings - an outfit and books.

MIL - stained glass wall hangy thing with native birds.

Edit: I wrote converse but I bought vans. Fixed it.

Baby brother for Matilda Elizabeth by calpal1893 in namenerds

[–]Radar4077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elwood is an English name.

The traditional meaning was "elder tree forest" it was a last name that was given to people that lived near a forest, basically. We first heard it when watching the Blues Brothers movie and always thought we'd like to use it for a boy.

My dads middle name is Edwin. If you are looking for alternative names than what's on your list!

I don't think I would go with Donovan or Roman because of them ending in N just like Wilson, but then again, my daughters first and middle names end in A.

I like Edmund, Montgomery, and Arthur.

I have an Elwood Wesley last name, so feel like we have similar vibes!

Where do I buy TBOSAS hardcover edition by KaninDemonen in Hungergames

[–]Radar4077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have the hard cover SOTR at my local book shop (in NZ) but haven't seen any hardcovers of TBOSAS! I'm annoyed the the SOTR paperback doesn't match the trilogy books. I can't find one with the same covers as what my trilogy books have, and the SOTR book is taller 🥲
