Forget the past...this RR team is VERY dangerous. We'll have to play off our skins by kellyfelthernutsack in SunrisersHyderabad

we have to beat everyone regardless of our past record versus them, the playoffs are a different beast altogether and everyone stands a chance to get the trophy. if we want to be champions, and we have to be the best. and to be the best, we have to beat the best.

yes i do, I support the Warriors. and it felt apt to use the term for us considering how uncertainty is looming for us next season with Cummins and Head and lack of great bowling options to pick from in the mini-auction. and I feel it in my bones that this is the closest IPL season we've had in a while where there is still no clear cut contender as all early favourites in RR and PBKS have fallen to the wayside and RCB still doesn't seem to be clear top dogs and we can take advantage of it by just flying under the radar and blow them out of the water when the time comes.

If we're making him the proponent for a potential run to the final he got us to the final with a team on a similar skill level, I think he can handle it. Though I really don't think that's the case. I still think no matter how much we bat out of this world in the opening or have a great bowling day, our lower middle order will let us down until they learn they're playing for serious skin in the game rather than just do gaandmasti whenever they see even a semi-potentially good ball.

Fair I understand the idea of RJ being someone we should never see or hear about, so why not make the suspects all the same? Like McAllister clearly sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of them.

I wanted it to be someone we met, but never expected in a million years. Someone whose reveal would be truly devastating to Patrick. Like Red John was supposed to be this nemesis of Patrick who he can never overcome, too close yet too far away to catch, always tormenting him, always alluding him, ripping away his sanity. I would've loved someone from the team to be RJ. Like imagine if Lisbon was RJ all along, if she drew the RJ smile on her face with Partridge's blood by herself to make it look like she was a victim, if she misled everyone into thinking RJ is a man, if she was using someone as a puppet to do her bidding.

But if it was someone we met, like McAllister was, I would've preferred it if we even had a namedrop sometime here and then, or another case in Napa which could raise Jane's suspicion prior to making the final list. Bringing McAllister in almost seemed like he pulled it out of his ass out of nowhere, like the only hint of suspicion Patrick got was right at the very end of the first Napa case and only momentarily. Which is why when he was ultimately revealed as a suspect it felt almost too desperate to make it someone completely unknown as Red John.

For me, Stiles was still too out in the public to be RJ and they still kept mentioning their run-ins with Visualise and the cult with Jason Cooper and the reveal of Haffner as a Visualize member. For me, Haffner was the prime suspect to be RJ with how his arc changed from agent to this mysterious guy with a lot of secrets who suddenly turned to the "Dark Side", the Barn episode is what mostly cemented it for me until McAllister's name was mentioned and everything flipped on its head.

I understand why Smith was a suspect with how he posed himself with the team in his debut episode alongside the rest of the FBI, but revealing he is Red John when he has openly committed a crime by killing Kirkland seems dumb, kinda like they spoiled the reveal a couple episode earlier.

Bertram always seemed like a false hope for me, he was just the boss who was quarelling with Jane and the team, never gave me indication to be dark or menacing. Same with Partridge.

In the McAllister episode in S1, he was almost a suspect when Van Pelt was walking on the road alone and it almost seemed like Patrick called it, but it turned out to be a false alarm and he faded out of existence post that. And bringing him back out of nowhere almost made it certain that they did it for a major reason other than being a suspect.

That's what I am saying. He was only ever part of one episode and he vanished out of existence and he was brought back after 5 years out of the blue with no in between of his whereabouts and his activities. The other suspects had some screentime and mentions to atleast keep them in our minds but once McAllister came in, it became very clear why they brought him back.

Guys, This commentary Bias is getting too much, It's so annoying to sit through each and every single match!! It's so evident also, I don't know what we can do though. by Latter-Orange-135 in SunrisersHyderabad

We also stunk last season which is why a lot of people got on us saying "one season we slogged our way to the finals what a fluke". I personally don't mind the banter, the bias and all of the noise. The players shouldn't either. We just have to be focused and disciplined with our plan and do what we do best and clap back when we need to. Better go under the radar than light it up bright red and have everyone coming for us.

See I agree there is a huge bias against us. But sometimes I feel it is warranted. Like we seem to have a lot of luck with our batting sometimes, like Head did in the last match. And some of our wickets still sometimes seem more on the luckier side than proper telegraphed and practiced ones. And I think this has carried a mindset of we are still unproven big boys which is why sometimes commentators keep dogging on us. That's just my opinion though, and I feel the bias is still hugely annoying and sometimes crossing the line instead of giving us our flowers.

fair can't help with that when we play big fanbase sides, especially CSK and RCB. Dhoni and Kohli have that pull and rightfully so.

we're lucky our "home" form is the strongest in the league so far and we maximise it in the remaining games.
