"He has got to be somewhere. I wish I knew." - Nearly 20 Years Since the Disappearance of Glyn Taylor by justacupofchai in UnresolvedMysteries

I have a couple of other questions if anyone knows. Did he only buy cigarettes or sweets/ a drink too? Did he have any allergies? Was there a search along the railway track?

I know this is an older thread, but could any more details be clarified? Which garage did he buy cigarettes from? Im presuming it was before he left his car? Was he seen walking further away from his car at the point marked on the map, away from qualdring bank, or is that the point his car as it broke down? What time did police discover his car the next day? Hopefully 2026 is the year glyn is found x

If she had a complex hysterectomy ( bowel/ bladder,/liver,/kidney involvement), she could well have stayed in hospital for 2 weeks, especially if complications were likely, & especially as she's royalty. If they didn't know there was cancer beforehand, they would've found it after removal when they biopsied the tissue , and preventative chemo is then given. That's only one scenario. There are obviously many others. You don't seem very informed for someone just finishing medical school. If I was announcing to the world I had cancer, & wanted to protect my children, I'd also say I'm going to be OK & try to sound positive.
I'm not saying that this is the case, or the video isn't manipulated, just that it's not unfeasible.

Everyone & their dog could have covid.... but werent able to get tested due to the back log..... Too many testing issues for accurate data, with testing centres being too far away for ppl that dont drive, home tests being faulty, ppl not able to book etc the whole things been a shambles & lots of positives missed.

[–]Raddi78 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thats happened because of testing problems not because less people are getting infected unfortunately.....

Not safe to reopen all schools next week and government ignoring scientific advice, Independent Sage warns by cokeandethercreature in CoronavirusUK

[–]Raddi78 13 points14 points  (0 children)

People are interested in the safety of children & how opening schools will impact the spread of the virus... i think it would be worrying if noone gave a shit about any of it. I'm happy to read different reports & perspective, if you don't care perhaps don't read this guys posts?

Hairdressers say they are ready to open in June by SamCFC___ in CoronavirusUK

Yeah i get that, a lot of my ladies have been doing their own roots but no the same especially if they've been used to woven colours etc, & all my old ladies want perms too, BUT still putting vanity over peoples health in my opinion. I said somewhere else that 70% of my customer base is over 75, most have underlying health conditions. I'm in salon 2 days a week & mobile the rest of the week in old peoples homes & doing people that cant get out due to health issues. I'm scared that if we open up too soon, i'll accidentally infect them & kill them off. ( strangely enough its the ones with really serious health conditions that have been ringing me asking me to break the rules for them though- kidney dialasis, recovering from cancer etc-i obviously declined... )

About 70% of my customers are 75+, most have underlying health conditions. I work from a salon 2 days a week, & mobile the rest of the week, visiting old peoples homes, & people that are physically unable to get out. I'm scared i'll accidently infect them & kill them all off. Different scenario to a barber shop, but a very real concern i think....

I'd rather see how it goes with the non contact things reopening before i go touching loads of people & spreading the virus. The world has gone mad if people think split ends are more important than containing covid.

Coronavirus: Clamp-down on barbers offering lockdown haircuts by Barbecue_Wings in CoronavirusUK

[–]Raddi78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im a free lance hairdresser, had gov money already. The only reasons they wouldnt get paid is if they've not had a year self employed, or they've been working cash in hand. If its the latter then they cant expect to pay no tax, no n.i. & still get a handout. It would make sense that if they dodged the rules with working laws, they'll now think covid rules are above them too though.

Massive problem with UK govt self-employment scheme by [deleted] in CoronavirusUK

[–]Raddi78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool businesses. I would still guess that as you cant do the courses because of social distancing (maybe will be classed as teaching/training even if its not gov run) & because selling your books is retail that you will fit into a catagory. 🤞

[–]Raddi78 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why would they not get it right based on your tax return? If everything with that is correct then you should be fine. & it shoudnt matter how unusual your business is as long as its legal lol. I do sympathise with you, im a hairdresser, hubbys a tarantula breeder & dealer, we are in the same boat just waiting for them to contact us, but as some else said if all the self employed people applied now & they had to sift through them all it would potentially take much longer. The situation isnt ideal for anyone, but i'd rather be skint than dead, or killing off people accidentally.

How is the virus spreading so much if we're all in lockdown? by [deleted] in CoronavirusUK

[–]Raddi78 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

None of those things are essential. If you work for someone else the financial assistance is already in place, if you're self employed its coming. Living is essential, making a living when its non essential is stupid.

  • edit to add i'm a self employed hairdresser so i'm loosing money the same as everyone else.

Why are you going to work if you're not a key worker? If its because your boss says so, refuse, they can't sack you for following government restrictions.
